The Advent (UK) Kombination Research (London) http://www.the-advent.com The Advent have been involved in the house / techno scene for many years now. Francisco Ferreira kicked his career off in style when not long after leaving school he found himself working as a sound engineer for Jack Trax, engineering for Derrick May, Fingers Inc and Adonis. Cisco's solo releases included the 1988 classic " Space Opera's " The Project on RandS Records, Belgium and the eponymously titled Cisco Ferreira EP on Fragile Records. His other engineering credits includes work with Loose Ends, Bang the Party and Shock Sound System (Ashley Beadle). Cisco was also involved in collaborations in 1990, with Fade II Black for Bio Rhythms 2 on Network Records. Cisco also co produced with CJ Bolland on The 4th Sign/ Mantra, Camarage, Nightbreed and Live At Universe for RandS Records he has also worked alongside the likes of Mundo Musique In 1994 Cisco signed to Internal Recordings and formed The Advent. Since then The Advent have released a series of outstanding EP's that have combined the best elements of Electro and Techno, but always generated music with a dance floor edge. Elements of Life (1994) represented The Advent's sound perfectly and many of the tracks had already been road-tested in their live performances. Then came Shaded Elements (remix project) and this was followed by the release of the 3rd album New Beginning's (1996) one quote from a magazine said" Prepare to phunk Advent style, to this brain shaking, electro-frying sequel" The Advent have been causing mass limb gyration and 909 detonation world-wide and whether it's at the hands of a pair of 1210's or during live performance's. The Advent have taken hold of the millennium dance floor and decoded its alien phunk scripture into their own sound system speaker shock blast. This in fact is the New Testament of dance music. In 1998 came the distinctive mixed album, Kombination Phunk, this was a series of tracks supplied by the likes of Dopplereffect, Luke Slater's Planetary Assault Systems and Joey Beltram. Cisco is now runs number of labels including Kombination Research and Alpha Recordings. Kombination Research was launched in 97 the mission was to keep it 100advent style, and after departing from London Records in 97 Cisco wanted to build on the love of music strictly for the underground masses, after 13 successful releases on Kombination Research the time had come to present a long player with the same idea as shaded elements, this project "Re Creations" will be based on the same idea, introducing new talent from the last 7 years to mix all the past 18 EP's on K.R. Dj Preach (CAN) Relic Rec http://www.relic-rec.com http://www.djpreach.com Preach is one of the biggest producers of the last few years. Hailing from Montreal, Canada…DJ Preach is currently lapping up some seriously well deserved media attention from areas like the ever familiar Holland's Dance Valley Festival, Fraga's Florida 135, and Barcelona's D'Asco Festival to name a few. Noted for an ability to balance his own deep musical training with the ephemeral needs of the dance floor, Preach excels at injecting emotion and energy into the rhythmic, sometimes formulaic genre of techno music. The ambitious, hard-working DJ, producer and label manager has become a key player in the continuing success of techno music in clubs and gatherings the world over. With a slew of critically acclaimed releases for respected techno imprints including BLACKHOLE, IN CHARGE, INTEC, RELIC, SESSION, PRIMATE, ZYNC, SYMBOLISM, MBELEKTRONICS, ITURNEM, ASCEND and many more, Preach's prolific production pace has allowed him to rise meteorically within the ranks of techno's international elite. Named as "the man to watch in 2005" by Carl Cox and recognized as Marco V's favorite producer, Preach's tracks are regularly charted by such dance music glitterati as Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Marco V, Armin van Buuren and Tiesto to name but a few, and his passionate DJ sets have taken dance floors by storm across North, South and Central America, Middle-East, Europe and Asia. Achieving widespread production and DJing success with relative ease, 2006 sees Preach achieving yet another milestone: the continuous success of his own label, Relic Recordings, as a home for his own recordings and mixes, and as an arena within which he can continue his collaborations with like-minded electronic music artists. Preach's most recent releases, Broken Inside on Black Hole's FBI label, and Relic's Oxygen, are some of the current best sellers, and his upcoming tours and gigs include Holland's Dance Valley, Spain's Fabrik and Sonar Evolution, Slovakia's Free Summer Festival, Slovenia's Summer Gathering Festival and UK's infamous Turnmills, and his continuous and successful Asian and Brazilian Tours. Agent (CZ) http://www.djagent.cz http://www.knedeep.net My name is Martin Naus. Until I was eighteen I was not really interested in music, but then came the era of indies guitar bands and I was most affected by the music of The Cure. In 1990 music became my hobby No. 1. Gradually I was attracted by electronic music more and more, especially EBM. I went to the first EBM concert of The Blind band in 1991. Since then EBM became my most favorite genre and most I liked bands as Front Line Assembly, Skinny Puppy, Project Pitchfork, Leather Strip, Ministry and Young Gods. At that time I also met Prague's Radio 1 DJ Josef Sedlon, with whom we used to go to all EBM concerts in the Czech Republic and even to some abroad. Between 1993 and 1994, following the take-up of dance music, I was more interested in this new trend. I was regularly visiting favorite Thursday techno nights in the Radost club in Prague promoted by Planet Alfa and I bought my first deck. For almost a year I was practicing mixing technique and style at home. It was a self-teaching and all the knowledge at that time I acquired by watching foreign DJ's who played in Prague. The first unofficial party I played at was Josef Sedlon's residential night at club 19 in Kladno in 1995. In December 1995 I played my first official gig in Beroun. The band Orbital became my longtime No. 1 musical act for many years. Dance music was all to me so as of 1 January 1996 I quit my job and started living off gigs and music. I became the official DJ of the Lighthouse agency which helped me a lot in the beginning and I had the credit to play at all parties organized by this pioneering musical agency. This was one of the reasons why I was getting more and more bookings all around the Czech Republic. Musically, I was leaning more towards harder and faster tracks. From being originally almost a hit-based DJ I gradually became a more crystallized interpret. My sets were becoming harder and since the start I had always been particular about clean mixes full of energy. I started trying to produce first tracks and slowly buying studio equipment which I was learning to control at the same time. It was a self-teaching in this field too. Between 1998 and 2002 I was the most booked DJ in the Czech Republic. Besides that I have played in clubs almost all around Europe and my own production was beginning to be able to compete. Together with a friend and colleague Dzejar we promoted a successful festival Svojsice in 2001 for the first time. It was mostly a techno festival with no musical compromises and such it remains while we still organize it. So since then I am not only a DJ and producer but a promoter as well. In 2000 I founded my own label Fylo where I present mainly my own material and works of my close friends. I mixed several compilations, some of them presented my own tracks. It was a big honor to me to make a remix for my longstanding most favorite Czech project Ecstasy of St. Theresa. Since 2001 I have been an official DJ for the Pioneer brand in the Czech and Slovak Republic. Currently, following a gradual commercialization of the dance scene, I do not have that many gigs as I used to have few years ago. This is mainly due to the fact that my style is very specific, mostly hard and often experimental. I am not corroded by trends and I try to go my own way. I stay apart from the Czech dance music show business „elite" and parties are no longer the most important thing in my life. Thanks to the fact that I do not depend on DJing, I am musically free and that is most important to me. favorite labels: Backstage, Inceptive, PVC, Surface, Nova Mute, Dynamic Tension, Counterbalance, Olga + Josef, Stimulus, Dawnwords, C-Side, Antidandruff, Fylo, Sitcom favorite DJ's: Cari Lekebusch, Dave Clark, Mark Bell, Surgeon, Loktibrada, Regis, Toky, Džejár, Boss, Speedy J, Takaaki Itoh, Go Hiyama Boriqua Tribez (AUT) Spilo, Recycled Loops, Primate http://www.boriquatribez.com DJ I.Q. started to solemnize his passion in english acid house at parties in the late 80ies and in the meantime he numbers among Austrian DJ veterans. After his study of sound engineering in the early 90ies he started to devote his attention to the production of electronic music. In 1996 he found the label NEIN! records, which involved 4 releases, international success (playlist: Mr. C, KISS FM/London,…) and several license inquiries for some compilations. 1997 he found "KILLA BEEZ", which in the meantime counts to the most interesting LOOP-TEK-projects of Austria and left behind 3 successful longplayers. Later on BORIQUA TRIBEZ follow the course of another artistic aspect of mastermind DJ I.Q., which offers refined electronic music with primarily latin and funk influences combined with disko/funk/old skool and tribal elements. The debut on the english imprint CONTRAST (UCMG/UK) started off pretty well and has gained in collaborations with the likes of BEN SIMS (INGOMA), UMEK and VALENTINO KANZYANI (RECYCLED LOOPS), CAVE (SPILO), HERTZ (HZTRAX, CLONES), MARCO BAILEY/CRISTIAN VARELA (PORNOGRAPHIC) etc.. In the last 6 years he produced and remixed for the biggest labels in the business with DJ-support from global-players such as BEN SIMS, CARL COX, CAVE, UMEK, KANZYANI etc.. DJ I.Q. is dj-ing since 1989 and knows how to convey passion in his energetic tribal-tek-funk sets and played himself in the hearts of several party people worldwide. Eto & Gab (BRZ) http://www.motormorfoses.com Motormorfoses is constant transformation in intense rhythm. Euphoric contrast of strong impact drives to the extrem. Technology transforming our daily, intensifying the changes, the search for renewal , the diversion and the chaos, everything good and bad, at day and night, are aspects that describes "motormorfoses". The Djs Producers ETO - been born in 1980 in the city of São Paulo (Brasil), influen-ced for hardcore - (former bass player in a band). GAB - born in 1982 in the city of Campinas (São Paulo - Brasil), gotten passionate for dance-music since 80´s and 90´s. They started their passion and knowledge on "Techno" music together. They both launched in August 2001 at the legendary "CLUB PLAY", the very first regular underground night in Campinas city. As resident the first experience was in the club "A Loca" (São Paulo - Brasil) during August of 2002 to the November of 2003. From the inauguration of the club "KRAFT" in Campinas city (September of 2003), the couple kept residence in the "Techno e Vertentes" nights, at dj LUKAS sides, during the 3 years duration of the club. They also are residents of rave "Techcardia" famous for bringing presentations of consecrated artists of the world Techno scene like the english Jamie Bissmire and Ben Long aka SPACE DJZ, Dj Rush (U.S.A), Marco Remus (Germany), Chris Liebing (Germany), Al Ferox (France), dj Tonio (France), D.A.V.E. the Drummer (UK), Dj Emerson (Alemanha), Holgi Star (Germany), Julian Liberator (UK), Harald Klotzberg (Germany), Sven Wittekind (Germany), Lars Klein (Germany), Andreas Kremer (Germany), Alex Bau aka Basic Implant(Germany), Robert Natus (Germany), Tobias Luke aka Dj O.B.I. (Germany), Dj Mahatma (Germany), among others... and also great brasilian names like, PET Duo, Camilo Rocha, Mara Bruiser, Murphy, TRB, Sub, Invoke Duo, Kammy, Nisek, França, Snoop, and many others. With 4 decks and 2 mixers, Eto and Gab show that the affinity between them results in a much more dense work, with sets full of energy and surprising elements, that reflects the mixture of the glad and differentiated sound of dj Eto with the more continuous and deep techno of dj Gab. The first experince with musical production started in 2003 year. The 2006 year marks the beginning of the "Motormorfoses" live project. The Live p.a. contain the first unknown tracks beyond vocal performance with electronic battery, incorporating the proper and innovative style of the couple. |
