CITYFOX veranstaltet sein eigenes FESTIVAL während der STREETPARADE 2009
Es besteht aus 2 Haupt-Komponenten: der CITYFOX POOLPARTY in der Rimini Bar am Schanzengraben und der CITYFOX CLUB NIGHT in der Alten Börse beim Paradeplatz. Beide Locations sind nur ein paar hundert meter voneinander entfernt, zu Fuss ca. 5 Minuten. Genauso weit entfernt ist die Streetparade selbst, die am See entlang rund um den Bürkliplatz und das Bellevue stattfindet.
Die POOLPARTY feiern wir nach der Premiere letztes Jahr zum 2. Mal. Es ist ein ganz besonderer Ort, die Rimini Bar. In Mitten der Stadt auf einem kleinen Fluss, der vom See in die Sihl fliesst. Direkt neben dem alten botanischen Garten, der noch seine letzten Äste und Arme in das Flussbad hängen lässt. Es gibt eine schöne Tanzfläche auf typischem Holzrost, die wir wie gewohnt mit einem massiven Soundsystem neuster Technik beschallen werden! Mit "Cityfox Open-Air Club" könnte man den Anlass treffend beschreiben. Wer zwischendurch mal eine Abkühlung braucht, kann einfach in einen der 2. Pools springen. Badesachen also mitbringen, Stöckelschuhe eher zu Hause lassen, da es viele Rillen im Holzboden gibt. Früh kommen ist auch empfohlen, da es letztes Jahr ziemlich schnell gefüllt war und wir dann leider niemand mehr reinlassen konnten. Die Platzzahl ist limitiert, aber dennoch nicht gering. Zudem ist die Party wieder eine der ganz wenigen, die offiziell genehmigt wurden.
Das Line-Up ist wie letztes Jahr ein Freestyle "Open Decks" Konzept - All die DJ's, die auf dem Flyer stehen und vielleicht noch ein paar unerwartete Special Guests, spielen wild durcheinander, wie sie Lust und Laune haben. Bei der CITYFOX POOLPARTY soll es hauptsächlich um Spass, Sonne und Open-Air Feeling gehen, nicht um konkret geplante Abläufe. Ein bisschen Chaos und Überraschung schadet nie! Einzig gesetzt sind die 2 Live-Acts – CANSON wird wie schon 2008 eines seiner schönen Sets am Nachmittag spielen und MY MY, unsere alten Berliner Freunde, werden am Abend Einblick auf ihren neusten Sound und ihr bald erscheinendes 2.Album geben. MY MY, also NICK HÖPPNER und LEE JONES werden sich dann auch noch an der DJ Ping Pong Session beteiligen und sich die Plattenspieler mit MARGARET DYGAS, MIKE SHANNON, MARK HENNING, MARKUS LINDNER, BAREM, SAMPAYO, PASCI, EZIKIEL, SKY JANSSEN, DEJAN und RINO teilen!
Das CITYFOX STREETPARADE FESTIVAL geht dann weiter, sozusagen übergreifend, da die POOLPARTY bis 23 Uhr gehen und die CITYFOX Party in der Alten Börse schon um 22 uhr beginnen wird. Bei schlechtem Wetter gibt’s einen Alternativplan, dazu unten mehr. Im Club geht’s dann rund, mit einem Aufgebot an Super-Acts, dass Zürich wohl schon lange nicht mehr so gesehen hat. Angeführt wird des von MATHEW JONSON, dem Techno-Produzent, der immer wieder Massstäbe für alle Anderen setzt. Er betreibt das Label Wagon Repair, zusammen mit KONRAD BLACK, der auch dabei sein wird. Seine darken psychedelischen Sounds sind genau die Richtigen für eine Clubnacht, die von allem was haben soll - BAREM’s treibender argentischiner Minimal Techno, PAN-POT’s Höhenfahrten und Achterbahnen, MARK HENNING’s moderne funkige Big-Room Grooves, MIKE SHANNON’s energie-geladene Mixes, MATT JOHN’s holografische Soundskulpturen und MARGARET DYGAS' Connection mit der Crowd sind weitere unverzichtbare Zutaten. Mit MARKUS LINDNER kommt noch ein extrem talentierter DJ aus Wien dazu, EZIKIEL & SKY JANSSEN, die jungen Wilden, die den Rhythmus einfach im Blut haben, SAMPAYO, der immer noch den richtig guten minimalen Techno spielt und RINO & DEJAN, die Cityfox Stammspieler. Auch Deko und Visuals kommen nicht zu kurz, ihr dürft euch auf was Massives und Lustiges freuen. Mehr verraten wir aber nicht - dürfte jetzt auch schon genug gesagt sein!
Unseren Alternativplan für schlechtes Wetter verraten wir euch doch noch:
Falls es am Samstag, dem 8.8.09, sehr schlechtes Wetter geben wird, fällt die POOLPARTY sprichwörltlich ins Wasser. Dafür öffnen wir dann die Türen der Alten Börse 2 Stunden früher, also um 20 Uhr.
Falls es am Sonntag, dem 9.8.09, schlechtes Wetter geben wird, verlängern wir die offizielle Öffnungszeit (12 Uhr) der CITYFOX CLUB NIGHT auf ein OPEN-END am Sonntag Nachmittag/Abend!

CITYFOX organizes its own FESTIVAL during STREETPARADE 2009.
There are two main components: First the CITYFOX POOLPARTY at Rimini Bar nearby the Schanzengraben and second the CITYFOX CLUB NIGHT at Alte Börse close to the Paradeplatz. Both locations are only a few hundrets of meters apart. It’s about a 5 minute walk. Same walking distance to the Parade itself, which runs along the lake shore from Bürkliplatz to Bellevue and further.
We celebrate the already legendary POOLPARTY for the second time now. The Rimini Bar is a really special place to be: right in the middle of Zurich City on a small river which runs from the lake into a bigger river called Sihl. The location is situated right next to the Old Botanic Garden with its massive trees who hang their arms and branches right into the Jewish Men Bath that’s actually built on the Schanzengraben river. There is a marvelous dancefloor on a typical wooden grid that provides as usual a massive sound system equipped with the newest technology standard. You name it ?CITYFOX Open Air Club“ because thats the excact claim of that event! If anybody needs to cool down a little, no problem, just hop in one of the two pools. So bring your trunks, bathing suits, bikinis and diving goggles but better leave the high heels at home. We highly reccomend you to show up early because there is a limited entry. The place is not small at all but what we learned from last year ist hat the venue was full quite quickly and unfortunately we had to send people home. Morever, this party is one out of a few that’s officially allowed.
The line up is like last year based on the freestyle open decks concept. Every DJ on the flyer and some unexpected special guests are playing randomly their records- just the way they feel like. The CITYFOX POOLPARTY shall be sun, fun and open air feeling way more than strict running orders. Chaos and surprises don’t hurt no one! Only the two live sets are timed. CANSON will be playing like 2008 already, one of his wonderful afternoon sets as well as MYMY our old berlin buddies will rock the stage in the evening and show us a snippet of their latest fresh music in order to the second album release, that will be coming soon. MYMY aka NICK HÖPPNER and LEE JONES will also participate the DJ-ping-pong-session and fire up some records along with MARGARET DYGAS, MIKE SHANNON, MARK HENNING, MARKUS LINDNER, BAREM, SAMPAYO, PASCI, EZIKIEL, SKY JANSSEN, DEJAN and RINO!
The CITYFOX STREETPARADE FESTIVAL continues and is even overlapping the POOLPARTY because that one ends around 23h while the CITYFOX CLUB NIGHT at Alte Börse starts at 22h. In case of bad weather conditions there is a ?Plan B“ like descirbed further down below.
At the club sparks will fly for sure! Such an amazing line up of of super acts hasn’t been seen here in Zurich for ages. The leader of them all is none other than MATHEW JONSON, he’s one of them techno producers who sets new standards for all the others in the scene. He is the owner of the label Wagon Repair and runs it together with KONRAD BLACK who will be playing as well. KONRAD’S dark and psychedelic sounds are for sure the right ones for this particular CITYFOX CLUB NIGHT. There will be electronic club music for everyone: BAREM’S groovy argentinian minimal techno, PAN-POT’S famous accoustic rollercoaster rides, MARK-HENNING’S modern, funky big room grooves, MIKE SHANNON’S energy loaded mixes, MATT JOHN’S holographic sound sculptures as well as MARGARET DYGAS’ connection with the crowd are essential ingrediences.
There is also MARKUS LINDNER, an extremely talented DJ from Vienna or SAMPAYO who still plays the really good minimal techno. And of course our CITYFOX residents RINO and DEJAN will do their best behind the decks. And of course decoration and visual effects are creating an unforgettable athmosphere. You can expect something massive and funny, no doubt. But we won’t tell more now. Just come along, listen and have a look!
Our Plan B in case of bad weahter conditions:
If it was raining cats and dogs on saturday 08.08.09, we won’t throw the POOLPARTY. But we’ll open up the ALTE BÖRSE CLUB 2 hours earlier. Means that the CITYFOX CLUB NIGHT starts already at 20h.
If there was bad weahter on sunday 09.08.09, we’ll extend the official opening hours (12h) of the CITYFOX CLUB NIGHT so it will be an open-end sunday afternoon/evening.
