noch eine DAW braucht das Land?

Die Oberfläche, ableton live ähnlich, gefällt jedenfalls

ZITAT

Studio One is a groundbreaking music creation and production application for Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista that makes audio recording, MIDI sequencing, and audio mastering ridiculously simple right out of the box, yet provides a wealth of professional features.

Fresh code, innovative drag-and-drop MIDI mapping and plug-in management, auto-configuration with PreSonus hardware, insanely good audio quality, unlimited tracks and plug-ins per track, and a powerful, inventive Start page that literally puts the whole project right in your hands are just a few of the compelling features that make Studio One the next generation in audio software. Far from just another music-production program, Studio One changes the rules of the game, giving you a complete, easy-to-use solution from raw tracks to finished master, while supporting the latest standards and technologies.

HIGH-END AUDIO ENGINE
Studio One is based on a cutting-edge audio engine that delivers unparalleled sound and automatically switches between 32-bit and 64-bit floating-point processing on the fly (even with a 32-bit OS), ensuring the highest quality audio at all times.
COMPATIBLE AND EASY TO CONFIGURE
Studio One is compatible with any ASIO-, Windows Audio-, or CoreAudio-compliant audio interface, including, of course, the entire line of PreSonus interfaces. Studio One recognizes your PreSonus interface, and preprogrammed templates automatically create software inputs and assign them to the appropriate hardware inputs on your PreSonus interface. You don't have to configure your software to work with your hardware—Studio One does it for you!"Studio One stores I/O configurations with each song, for each computer, and for each device driver. As a result, you can take a song to a friend's studio, use Studio One with their interface, and when you get back to your studio, Studio One will recall the original I/O configuration for the song, as if you never left. This works regardless of interface.

bevor ich mir das antu...

Das is quasi sowas wie Cubase - also eine DAW mit klassischer Arrangieroberfläche also ne Zeitskala von links nach rechts----Ableton mäßiges Clip Matrix zeugs geht da nit?
Derrick S

Derrick S

Production will start in August, and the assembled Studio One boxes should hit the stores in the US at the beginning of September. An international release is planned for later this year, but no exact dates are scheduled yet.

A quick run through some details about Studio One you might be interested in:

Cross-Platform

Studio One is available for Mac OS X (10.4 and 10.5) and Windows (XP and Vista). There are two installers for Windows, one for the x86 architecture (32 Bit) and the other for x64 (64 Bit). Btw, please do not mix this up with the processing precision of our audio engine, which can be single (32 Bit) or double (64 Bit), regardless of the CPU architecture.

Copy Protection

There is no dongle. We think copy protection should be painless for the paying customer. We use digitally signed licenses, issued by our registration server. A license is bound to a user account and a computer. Activation can be done directly within Studio One or via manual license transfer if your Mac or PC is not connected to the Internet.

Studio One Flavors

Studio One comes in three flavors:

1) The full version of Studio One with all the cool stuff we developed during the past three years. It is a complete music production solution to Record, Mix, Master and Publish your music, even with integrated CD Burning and several Gigabytes of content.

2) Studio One Artist, a fully functional entry-level version which is not crippled by track count limitation, etc. Basically, it does not feature the Project Page (Mastering, CD Burning), some of our advanced native effects and it does not support 3rd party plug-ins (no VST, AU, ReWire). This version will be bundled with the upcoming PreSonus audio interfaces and it will also be available for separate purchase.

3) A time-limited, save-disabled demo version which can be freely downloaded from the web. It should give you an idea about the workflow of Studio One.

Thanks for your attention.

PreSonus has released the first maintenance update for Studio One Pro and Studio One Artist. The new version 1.0.1 provides 10 new features and fixes an assortment of issues.

New features include the abilities to: snap on/off using a new key command, reset the entire event volume curve using a key command, fine-adjust the event volume using either a key command or by holding Shift and dragging with the mouse, and select notes by pitch on the keyboard in the Music Editor.

Studio One nutzt ab Version 1.1 dynamisches Time Stretching.

Quartal 2010 erscheinen.

quelle: http://www.musotalk.de/news/newsansicht/ar...-studio-one-an/

Studio One now uses dynamic time stretching to change tempos within an event, rather than having to slice the event into separate events with different tempos. Constrain position when dragging events between tracks within a defined range, use a keyboard shortcut to fast-forward and rewind by measures, and accelerate scrolling while dragging with the new Turbo mode. When you select a region on a track, you can now extend the selection using Shift and the Up/Down arrow keys. When you select and remove a range in the Edit menu, the time in between regions will be deleted and the regions will snap together.

An Upload as Digital Release option has been added to Studio One Pro's Project page, and you can include album and song art. A new menu item enables you to upload songs, art, and metadata to the Soundcloud Web service.
