We at Clever Music are taking this greenhouse issue very seriously indeed, as indeed is our latest artist who has even taken on a pseudonym in support of getting green. Colorswitch says no to carbon emissions. We know when you hear the clicking, crunching and winding analogue sweeps of Floating Point we will get shit loads of forum users asking when this will be released on vinyl. Well, we haven't looked into it, primarily because we write these reviews as a joke without much thinking involved, but for the purpose of this review vinyl creation probably is the main cause of pollution in the world after airplanes, so yeah, we are gonna stand up against the evil axis of Kompakt and Word and Sound before Bush, Blair or any of them put that shit on the agenda.



Red Eye is Colorswitch's conceptual ode to the carbon footprint. Every scratching glitch noise represents an airmile. The careful listener will notice that at the end of every 4/4 bar and indeed at the second kick, there is a snare hit. This represents, if you will, a metaphorical deletion of airmiles. The other weird noises in the mix represent alternative modes of transport. Have a listen. That's right, bikes, gas free cars, boats and even human catapults are suggested as potential mass transportation vehicles. Ken Livingstone take note.



For the final track, Spy, Colorswitch ran an ad in The Guardian and The Independent, asking readers to send in their take on the melting ice caps and global warming. Once he had received a wealth of responses, the artist created a large bonfire on a sunny London Victoria Park, burnt the letters on a bed of aerosol cans and captured the sounds of semi-naked bathing girls as they sprayed their tanning lotions to create the definitive anti-emissions track. This is the sound of our future. Ask yourselves: can we afford to continue down this ever more polluted road?
