MEET ME 2005
Meeting new friends and making acquaintances, a get-together of kindred souls, music played by select members of the local and international DJ élite, dance rhythms for (almost) everybody, including the most demanding tastes, and a huge range of complementary attractions – these are the biggest features of this year's MEET ME festival. And this year Slovenia's biggest festival of electronic dance music will be celebrating its fifth anniversary.

Over the last five years, the dance rhythms have come from world-famous DJs such as Jeff Mills, Umek, The Advent, Valentino Kanzyani, Bob Sinclar, Steve Lawler, Desyn Masiello, Colerdidge (Transglobal Underground), Dave Watts (Fun-Da-Mental), Lottie, Lucien Foort, Rotor, Christian Smith, Blake Baxter, Rush, Marco Carola, Ben Sims and others. Real festivals are brought to life with a tradition like that.

An important part of the MEET ME festival has been the way it has been improved every year thanks to feedback from the people at its previous edition. This year's MEET ME has not been short of ideas – for the first time it will feature a LIVE STAGE which will host renowned Slovenian bands Silence and Melodrom.

Other highlights of the event will undoubtedly be DJ sets by RICHIE HAWTIN in the Astrodisco MAIN ARENA, SASHA (yep, no mistake, 'the' SASHA will play!), DESYN MASIELLO in FUSION ARENA, VIPER XXL and PET DUO at the SCHRANZTANZ FLOOR as well as.
The MEET ME festival will take place at an open-air, non-urban venue over 10.000 square metres in size.
A large free parking area will be situated next to the location. The DIvača airfield is easily accessible and is conveniently located close to the main motorway. This easy-to-reach location is one reason why the festival attracts thousands of visitors from Slovenia, Italy, Croatia and Austria and other countries every year.

The Explicit Musick organisation regularly promotes performances by star DJs of worldwide renown. We are especially proud that this year we managed to book Sasha who ranks among the top five most popular DJs on the planet. Sasha will play a 4 hour set in the MEET ME '05 FUSION ARENA!

SASHA
In the world of dance music, there are DJs who can lead the dancers into a state of ecstasy. And there are producers churning out dance hits one after the other. But those who can combine the two are very, very rare. Sasha is the man at the top. He is simply one of the world's most famous and best regarded DJs.

DESYN MASIELLO

The destructive power of the new wave of German techno will satisfy those who like their music hard and fast!

PET DUO
The so-called "Adam and Eve of Brazilian techno" are inseparable both privately and behind the turntables. The music is their God in front of whom they have also recently uttered their 'I do' – for perpetuity.

MELODROM
The group's debut eponymous album was declared Album of the Year 2004 by the editors of prestigious media such as Polet, Vikend and Videospotnice.

· MEET ME starts at 8.00 pm. Arrive early and prepare for the party!
· The site is situated 3.5 km from the centre of Divača. Street signs will lead you to the festival site.
· Bring comfortable and warm clothes. The weather can be unpredictable.
· The only dress code is your imagination.
· Fill your empty stomachs with food from stalls.

USEFUL TIPS:

You can take a train or coach to come to the festival. More information in the INFO section.
Shuttle buses will run from the railway station to the festival site.
Divača airfield is located close to the motorway: a 40 minute drive from Ljubljana, Udine or Rijeka; 20 min. from Trieste, 30 min. from the Slovenian coast.

· To avoid the risk of bad weather and to ensure improved sound all dancefloors will be covered by tents. In the event of nice weather, the tents’ side walls will be fully open
· The festival will take place in any weather conditions.
· There is no free access between the event area and the parking area. Re-admittance is only possible with a new ticket.

· Explicit Musick has the right to:
· change the line-up without prior notice,
· ban entry to persons who are expected to violate the rules and regulations at the event (Article 25 of the Public Gathering Act); the management is not liable to reimburse the entry fee in such cases. In the event of cancellation the management will reimburse the entry fee to all
