Tim Paris (Marketing / Crack&Speed / Families)

Like many of his peers Tim Paris went through the initiatory experience of the raves and quickly started mixing. His talent and broad taste make for eclectic sets, from Funk, Disco and House to Broken Beat, electro and Detroit techno. His rising popularity leads him to play regularly in the best clubs around the world such as the Rex Club, Batofar, Pulp and Nouveau Casino in Paris, The End in London, Weekend Club in Berlin, Mondo in Madrid, as well as in Barcelona, Singapore, Johannesburg, Moscow and Miami among other destinations. He also launched his own itinerant club night with Chloé and Alexkid called Ghetto Blaster and co-manages the labels Silver Network, and Crack & Speed with Jef K.
Production-wise each release confirms his great potential: After 2 noteworthy EPs on Virgo and Tom Bone Vibrating Music, his remix of Future Now, licensed on 2020 Vision has become something of a classic on worldwide dancefloors. His forthcoming releases on Crack & Speed, Dialect and his new label Marketing, will certainly cause the same commotion!

Groove:

„Architexture“ ist das Debüt von Tim Paris, neben Jef K Mitbetreiber von Silver Network und Crack & Speed. Auf dem A-Seiten-Track mit Vocals von Mike Ladd kommt einiges zusammen: das haptisch reiche Volumen der Produktionsstandards der 00er, der Jazzvibe im New School-HipHop der 90er, etwas Acid und eine Hommage an Tackhead und andere Adrian Sherwood-Produktionen der 80er, die Architekturkritik der 70er, das psychoanalytische Dechiffrieren von gesellschaftlich wirksamen Symbolen der 60er, die klassische Moderne von Le Corbusier bis Calatrava, und funktioniert auch noch jenseits dieser Ambitionen. Noch besser kommen aber die zwei Dark Boogie-Tracks: „No Nada“ swingt mit Bleeps, discoiden Dubs und einem tiefen, singulären Glockensound, „13th Floor“ steigt in den Expressaufzug, rockt mit digitalen Breaks. Coole EP!

morgen um 20h gibts den neuen mix von tim paris und einen neuen von slack hippy auf play.fm, und ab dann natürlich auch zum stream.
