Joyce Mercedes Joyce Mercedes is an international DJ of great stature, a star and very talented. She reached number 109 in 2006 in the Djmagtop100. Travelling all around the globe and playing on a very high quality level in the best Clubs and Events, with a huge passion for music. In 2005 and 2006 Joyce Mercedes visited more than 40 different countries. This demonstrates that Joyce M. is exceptionally talented – the best female DJ of progressive house and the 3rd leading female DJ in the world. She is well exposed in the underground scene and has "progressive house" in the most pure form in her blood. She loves to be the centre of attention and perform for people. She enjoys stimulating other people's senses, a hypnotist who knows how to stun the dance floor. The marvellous choice of records shows her nose for quality and her exceptional mix-technique is based on a combination of inborn talent and perseverance. The words funky, techy, full of soul, tribal, trancy and psychedelic can all be found in her musical vocabulary. People are waiting for a glimpse of her beauty and for the first beat which makes their hearts rock. She shared stages with names such as Sasha, Anthony Pappa, James Holden, Paul van Dyk, Chris Fortier and Derrick May. She got her Audio Engineering degree in 2004 at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in Amsterdam, followed by the more specialized course in Electronic Music Production. Her own label called QOC-recordings was brought into the market at the end of 2006. QOC-recordings will release her debut EP, called 'Golden Stars', as for many other promising artists. "Golden Stars" is containing 2 tracks: 'Golden Glow' and 'Sparkling Stars'. Both tracks are received very well with renowned DJ's. In 1992 Joyce Mercedes passed her Athenaeum-diploma and started a study Economics. Next to her study in the 90's she started working as a dancer for leading organizations like Pantera and X-tension. This was followed by the "Strycker & Holmes World Tour" in which Joyce performed a sparkling dance show in some of the most famous clubs in the world, together with her colleague. Her passion for music lies in her dancing as well as in her singing. In 1997-1999 Joyce M. was part of "Centerfold", a singing group. In 1998 they performed in a sold out Amsterdam Arena during the pause of the classic football game Ajax-PSV. "Centerfold" also added lustre to the 15th year anniversary of Playboy. Joyce M. also works regularly as a model, featuring in campaigns for Heineken, Campari, Gap-Star, Playboy, MAXIM and FHM magazine. In 1999 she decided to buy some turntables and try to master the art of mixing. Her first performance before an audience took place in sunny Miami on a private party. Quickly the bookings started to roll in, acuminating in the residency DJ spot at the well known Amsterdam "Supperclub" and the 2 year "Space World Tour" to crown it all off. At this moment Joyce M. has performed in almost every famous foreign club in Europe, North America, South-America as well as in the Far East. Spiller  Cristiano Spiller aka Spiller startete seine musikalische Karriere bereits im frühen Alter von 14 Jahren, als er sich die Turntables als seine professionelle Berufung aussuchte - in erster Linie zunächst aus dem Grund, weil er wusste, dass die DJs immer gute Chancen bei den weiblichen Zuhörern hatten. Die musikalischen Reize sollte er dann später entdecken... Spiller begann dann als DJ in der lokalen Szene Venedigs zu arbeiten - in einem Club namens "El Souk" - und entwickelte sich schnell zu einem gesuchten DJ in den großen Clubs Italiens. Mittlerweile ist Spiller Resident-DJ im "Glamour" (Treviso), "XS" und "House Nation" (Jesolo) sowie im slowenischen Club "Ambasada Gavioli". 1995 begann er schließlich, sich auch als Produzent zu betätigen, als er sich einen Sampler und einen Computer zulegte und anfing, sich sein eigenes Studio einzurichten. 1997 veröffentlichte er den Latin House-Klassiker "Laguna's Spiller From Rio", der von Azuli in UK lizensiert wurde, später von Positiva/EMI herausgebracht wurde, um sich dann zu einem Top 30-Erfolg in den UK National Charts und zu einem Top 10-Track in den US Billboard Dance Charts zu entwickeln. Dieser erste Release machte Spiller weltweit in der Branche bekannt und begehrt, und so suchten viele internationale Künstler sein Können für ihre Produktionen und für Remixe, wie u.a. Smoke City ("Numbers"), Gloria Gaynor ("Reunion"), Matt Bianco feat. Kym Mazelle ("Sunshine Day") und Run DMC ("My Funny Valentine"). Mit der Dance Cover-Version der Marcos Valle-Komposition "Batucada" brachte Spiller seinen zweiten Titel auf den Markt. Ein erneut großer und handfester Erfolg zunächst auf Peppermint Jam, dann auf MNW Skandinavien, Edel Germany, Positiva/Emi UK und MCA/Twisted in den USA. "The Mighty Miami EP", Spillers aktuellstes Werk, eroberte bereits die italienischen Club-Charts und konnte die No. 1-Position in den "Italia Network Suburbia Chart" einnehmen Die italienische Veröffentlichung auf Dreambeat/Fruit Of The Moon ist konstanter Bestandteil der Sets von u.a. Louie Vega, Francois Kevorkian, Joe Clausell, Bobby & Steve und Ralf. Für Furore sorgte die Veröffentlichung „Groove Jet" in England, als der Track von 0 auf #1 in die Verkaufscharts schoss und dabei die bis dahin vorne liegende Victoria „Posh Spice" Beckham auf Platz 2 verwies. Nicht nur in England überschlug sich die Presse mit dieser sensationellen Nachricht, sondern auch in Deutschland und dem Rest von Europa rissen sich die Gazetten um diese Neuigkeiten. Nun ist Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis Bextor dabei, auch den Rest in Europa zu erobern. In Holland steigt der Titel kontinuierlich in den Verkaufscharts nach oben und auch Skandinavien rechnet nach dem Erfolg der Single in den Clubs mit einem guten Start in den Verkaufscharts. In Deutschland ist „Groove Jet" bereits in den Top 50 der Airplay Charts und die Vorverkaufszahlen zeugen schon jetzt von einem neuen Hit auf dem Label Kontor! |
