sonstiges	Spirit Base im Juni 2009: Fünf Tage Trance-Festival bei Wien Fata Morgana – Zauberwelt aus Musik und Farbenkunst Wien, April 2008 (OTS)– Fata Morgana heißt das Motto von Spirit Base 2009, des größten und längsten Trance-Festival Österreichs, das vom 10. bis 14. Juni 2009 in Rauchenwarth, nur zehn Kilometer von Wien, stattfinden wird. Wie letztes Jahr werden auch heuer wieder Tausende Besucher aus allen Teilen Europas in die Wunderwelt aus Musik, Farben, Fantasie und großartigen Projektionen strömen. Wie schon die letzten Jahre wird sich die Sandgrube bei Rauchenwarth wieder in einen multidimensionalen Raum verwandeln. Spirit Base, das sich auch „Wüsten-Festival“ nennt, findet 2009 zum siebten Mal statt und hat sich inzwischen zum größten Trance-Event Österreichs entwickelt. Das Festival wird heuer im Zeichen der „Fata Morgana“ stehen. Dabei werden die Lichtkünstler dreidimensionale Lichtobjekte auf das Gelände zaubern. Die Dekorationen und Aufbauten sind diesmal ganz der Wüstenkultur gewidmet, die im mystischen Schwarzlicht erstrahlen wird. Fünf Tage lang werden 51 Live-Acts und 40 DJs aus elf Ländern für Tausende Festivalgäste nonstop im Einsatz sein. Die Künstler kommen aus mehreren Ländern Europas und Israel wie aus den USA, Brasilien und Mexiko. Musikalisch orientiert sich das Line-up an Progressive Trance, Full-on aber auch spacigen Ambient- Klängen. Für die Freunde des Chillouts wird wieder das größte Chillout-Zelt Europas, das „Deep Space Zoon“, aufgebaut, in dem rund um die Uhr Musik gespielt wird. Wer es betritt, schwebt in eine Parallelwelt hinein, die an ein futuristisches Ethno-Wohnzimmer aus einem Science-Fiction-Film erinnert. Die musikalischen Höhepunkte sind heuer die von den großen Festivals bekannten Live-Acts von Psysex, Vibe Tribe und Space Cat aus Israel. Auch die Progressive Acts Ibojima, Neelix und Chiva Chandra sind weltbekannte Größen der Szene. Ebenso finden sich viele österreichische Musiker und DJs wie Acan, Kajola, Horizon, Goandi und weitere bekannte heimische Namen. Für die optischen Effekte, Visuals und Projektionen wurde El Geko, der weltweit beste internationale Videokünstler der Szene, engagiert. Unterstützt wird er vom Lichtakrobaten „Der Lustige Astronaut“, der durch seine Cosmic-Partys im Wiener WUK in der elektronischen Musikszene Österreichs bekannt wurde, sowie von Fade FX. Die meterhohen Projektionen von Sikanda ergänzen die Lichtorgie des Festivals. Überdimensionale geometrische Objekte aus Fluoro-Farben von den Künstlern Calaquendi, Blochi und Sinus werden bereits Monate vor dem Festival konstruiert und lassen den Dancefloor zum visuellen Erlebnis werden. Zahlreiche Feuershows, Performances und Workshops machen den Wüstenurlaub an der Grenze Wiens komplett. Tausende Besucher aus allen Teilen Österreichs und vielen europäischen Ländern machen Spirit Base zu einem Festival der internationalen Kategorie, das für die Region südöstlich von Wien im Juni zu einem wichtigen Wirtschaftsfaktor geworden ist. Neben lokalen Ständen werden auch Partykleidung, Schmuck und Kunst aus aller Welt angeboten. In den Restaurants finden sich österreichische und vor allem asiatische Köstlichkeiten. Auch der beliebte indische Chai fehlt dabei nicht. Das Festival bietet eine eigene Infrastruktur mit Parkplätzen, Duschen, Toiletten und allem was der Festivalbesucher braucht. Die Vorverkaufskarten kosten bis 31. März 50 Euro, bis 30. April 55 Euro und ab 1. Mai 60 Euro für fünf Tage. An der Festivalkasse werden die Tickets zwischen 25 und 80 Euro für einen bis fünf Tage verkauft. Die Karten sind online auf www.spirit-base.at sowie an mehreren Stellen in Wien erhältlich. Außerdem bieten Öticket und Austria-Ticket ein eigenes Ticketservice.

Kraftwerk, Yello and Off belonged to the artists who opened his creativity and his ears for the electronic dance music. In 1994 he visited for the first time the Omen in Frankfurt where Sven Väth, DJ Dag and Frank Lorber this did what DJ's for one good evening have to act. Two years later he put into action his won inspirations, in the end, in the decks. In 2000 Markus and two DJ's friends founded the "project 2000" and started in parallel as Resident in the Frankfurt stage bar "helium". Appearances followed in different Locations as well as a much notable residence in the U60311 where he left especially free run to his musical passion. His music style changed, however, the tacts stayed the same. At the moment are labels in his record-suitcase like Perlon, raummusik and Tuning Spork. Up to 2004 Markus Fix visited the clubs in Frankfurt still under the pseudonym " J.R.Fix junior ". Meanwhile Markus played with the top Dj´s DJ T., Tiefschwarz, Dominik Eulberg, Loco Dice, Tobi Neumann, Ewan Pearson, Martin Landsky, Dinky, Troy Pierce, Vera, Dorian Paic, Chris Titjen and many more. By the creation of the musical eventful evenings, he created it also far beyond the Rhein Main area and present his elegant combination of Deephouse, Techhouse and minimal-techno. Gigs in famous clubs like the Robert-Johnson in Offenbach, the Airport in Würzburg or the Room 106 in Darmstadt, as well as the Kinzo or Deep in Berlin, are no more rarity. Markus Fix is active in variously regard in the Frankfurter scene. While he acted with the event agency " Rich and Famous " as a booker, he put into action for example the Open Air " Karotte und sein feines Gemüse" . Furthermore he is one divide from the DJ duet " Fix und Fertig ", which since beginning of 2004 in the clubs of Germany At August 2004, Markus Fix was taken up by his fascinating sound and by his rising local popularity in the cult club Monza as Resident.

Da der Club meistens noch leer war zu Beginn, legte sie meistens auch die ersten Platten des Abends auf. Sehr schnell kamen die Leute schon früh, nur um Margarets Warm-up Sets zu hören. 4 Jahre später machte sie das DJ-ing zu ihrem Hauptberuf und wurde in Clubs wie die Fabric, the End oder The Key gebucht. --- Sarah Goldfarb Hinter dem weiblichen Pseudonym Sarah Goldfarb versteckt sich ein männlicher Künstler namens Jean-Vince. Er ist hauptberuflich Taxifahrer. Er liebt den Job, darum gibt er nicht auf. Er liebt aber auch seine wochenendlichen Ausflüge in die grossen Städte der Welt, um die DanceFloors zu rocken. Seit 1994 organisert er Parties in Marseille, Artists wie Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Baby Ford, Luciano sind regelmässige Gäste und auch die grosse Inspiration für seine eigene Musik, die er seit 2003 produziert. Marcel Janovsky hat ihn schon früh für sein Label Treibstoff entdeckt, mittlerweile ist er zu bekannt um seinen Namen wieder loszuwerden. Er ist genauso wie Pierre Resident der Lessizmore Institution. Und wenn's ein Taxi zur Afterhour braucht, wissen wir wer fährt.

Specials/Infos	Am 13.6. verschlägt es die Exit Truppe nach wilden Abenteuern auf See, diesmal in den Wald, wo das Zelt der zersplitterten Schaumstoff Bande in Beschlag genommen wird. Besuch kommt aus Zürich: Playlove hat sich angekündigt und wird uns zeigen wie der Hase rennt. Begonnen wird schon um 15:00 und erst aufgehört wenn die bösen Ritter in Blau uns einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen. Für kühle Getränke wird gesorgt, das Picknick überlassen wir euch. Die Arenawiese befindet sich im Prater zwischen Jesuitenwiese und Praterhauptallee, neben der Strassenbahnendhaltestelle Praterhauptallee. Plan wird noch angehängt stimmt aber nicht mehr so ganz da der N Wagen eingestellt wurde und statt dessen nun die Ringlinie fährt. Musikalisch bewegen wir uns zwischen Paradise Garage und Detroit mit einigen Abstechern, und Umwegen. Wir sehen uns auf der Wiese!

Keeping on a good thing, Jade and Matt-U continued to work together. Having already releasing on the huge 'Moving Shadow' imprint, '1210' & Ryme Tyme’s 'Spawn recordings' the two will continue to work with each other and have further collaborations planned for the future. KABO \| Electrofusl \| Fantomton \| Germany Fantomton is a collaboration of musical people who enjoy parties and live situations - any place where people can communicate the good feelings they have because of the music and experimental ideas. Fantomton was actually born recording some samples together. We did that like children, having fun and looking for sounds that represent us. With this attitude, we happened to go to a overaged Radarstation in Berlin, at Teufelsberg. The location is wonderful: the panorama of Berlin is awesome, the building simply charming. We spent hours through the building, making fotos, recording samples of any kind, hanging around and having fun. Therefore we decided to use this samples for making some music, but also to continue with this sharing and playfully attitude. For this reason we gave the samples to some friends and artists that wanted to make a track out of these recordings. The result is the first release of Fantomton, made out mainly by these Radarstation mysterious samples. Every artist had the possibility to make every kind of track: the border of this album is not the genre, but the source of the sounds. From year to year, from town to town, one thing is for sure: love the music and dance! Did you know, that the first Mayday was organized to save a radio station, or that the Prodigy’s first appearance before a bigger crowd happened here? If the answer is yes, you certainly will not miss it this year. If you said “no”, then it is high time to get a taste of the vibe of the world’s craziest one-night party with the greatest traditions on the 13th of June, 2009 in Budapest! First of all, we need to get an old popular error right: the event’s name is not alluding to the year’s fifth month, May, but to something completely different. There your are, the exact definition: Mayday is an international distress signal used in voice procedure radio communications. It derives from the French term m’aider, meaning “help me”, although this form is more imperative and stressful. It is used by air and water transport staff, and in English speech area, also by the police and firefighters. Here were are... A noble aim made thousands move in 1991: saving Radio DT64! An internationally acclaimed muster of electronic music, which attracts a crowd of thousands every time in the biggest cities of Europe: MAYDAY. The latter came from the preceding, namely the most successful initiative of all time in this genre. Those lovers of electronic music who live and move, are can’t even imagine to miss a Mayday. Big things always happened and they are still happening there. Milestones of the scene’s history are coming to life on these monumental happenings. Let’s just think of the Sigue Sigue Sputnik’s gig in 2000, the comeback of the Yello, or the first bigger concert of the Prodigy - these all came to pass on Mayday. And what makes Mayday a Mayday? Albeit it has indispensable ingredients, after all, the most important is the intellectuality of these parties, when a mass of thousands celebrate their absolute love in a gigantic location. And what is necessary by all means: a new Mayday anthem from year to year. Members of Mayday is a thirty-minute interlude on the peak of the bash, when all the DJs and VIP guests are dancing on the stage, while the anthems of good old times are on the menu again (e.g. Sonic Empire ’97 or Save the Robots ’98 have reached the evergreen category since then). Green-blue-red lasers are sweeping the dancers: the dense flow of light is quite a costly part of the show, mopping up a considerable quota of the Mayday budgets. The most important summit of the techno world started it’s conqueror way from Berlin, and through Cologne, Dortmund, Frankfurt and Poland’s Katowice, it found it’s way on to St. Petersburg of Russia and to the capital of Hungary, Budapest.
