For the last 10 years, club music + Gentse Feesten = 10 Days Off. 10 years of 10 Days Off, that’s more than 100 days of pure musical pleasure for 1000’s of lovers of progressive dance music. 10 years of 10 Days Off, that’s more than 3 months of recreation for musical explorers from all over the planet, who come to dance, see and enjoy. 10 years of 10 Days Off, that’s a milestone in the history of electronic music. And if you thought each and every previous edition has been unforgettable, then make sure to keep the second half of July 2004 free. 10 Days Off will be proudly inviting a number of top notch guests from our rich history with whom we have a special relationship: Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Tiga and Jazzanova are only the tip of the iceberg. Of course 10 Days Off will once again be the place where people can discover what’s hot in the electronic music scene. Many styles such as house, electro, breakbeats, ‘80s rock, drum and bass, grooves, broken beats, nu-jazz, lounge, techno, funk, disco, … and artists who use names like Roger Sanchez, Tiefschwarz, Chicken Lips, Headman, Luciano, DJ T, Erlend Øye, Märtini Brös, Ewan Pearson, Spektrum and Ricardo Villalobos. Another ever-returning feature at 10 Days Off is the highlighting of interesting labels. This year we’ll have special label nights of F Com (Garnier and co. celebrate their 10th anniversary!), Kompakt, Sonar Kollektiv, DJ Hell’s International Deejay Gigolos, Poker Flat and Playhouse. Apart from dj sets and live performances 10 Days Off features video projections, workshops and turntable battles. But of course 10 Days Off is first of all the place where an impressive string of famous artists have played. Many times they were doing their first ever Belgian or even European appearances. 10 Days Off is also a stepping stone for young talent performing for the first time alongside the big league players. And more often than not they move on to become part of that same big league. Not only has 10 Days Off proven to be one of the most innovating festivals in the world over the last 10 years, the event is also famous for its unique vibe. Eine Bar mitten im Wiener Prater, mit großem, lauschigem Gastgarten, urigem, und trotzdem stylischem Innenbereich, eine umfangreiche Getränke- und Speisekarte und eine großzügig angelegte Tanzfläche – der Name „Himmelreich“ kommt nicht von ungefähr. Und im Himmel dürfen sich Freunde elektronischer Musik ab Freitag, dem 9.7. wähnen: In genau dieser Location gibt es nun eine wöchentliche Clubnight „fridaze rotations“ nennt sich das Kooperationsprojekt der Kolarik Freizeitbetriebe GmbH mit Young Rotations, dem Verein für DJs. Jeden Freitag ab 21:00 Uhr präsentieren nun Acts aus dem Y.R.-Pool die verschiedenen Facetten elektronischer Musik – was zählt ist der Groove, nicht das Genre. So wird eine gesunde Mischung aus House, Tech-House, Minimal, Breakbeat, NuJazz, Electro und Drum’n’Bass sowohl zum gemütlichen Chillen im Garten als auch zum exzessiven Feiern im Innenbereich animieren. Fürs leibliche Wohl ist nicht nur durch das reichhaltige, günstige Getränkeangebot gesorgt – bis drei Uhr nachts bietet auch die Küche eine Variation an Schmankerln. Was sollen wir zu DJ Rush noch sagen? One of the most famous and most talented Entertainers in the world! Pet Duo ist in Germany ein noch neuer Begriff, aber bestimmt nicht mehr lange: Ana und David, ein Grundbegriff in der Sao Paulo Underground Electronic Musik Szene, lernten sich 1994 kennen und heirateten kurze Zeit später. Drei Jahre später konnten sie ihr Techno-DJ-Projekt durchsetzen. Das Pet Duo hat seinen eigenen Still und weiß nur zu genau was die Crowd von Ihnen verlangt. Immer am Puls der Zeit, mit upcoming Releases der Techno-World, die Pet Duo momentan als Erste spielen. Ihre Sets beinhalten viele Facetten der elektronischen Musik, von funky bis knallhart und sie spielen mit vielen bekannten Künstlern wie unter anderem Rush, Chris Liebing oder Valentino Kanzyani. Ende 2001 wurde das Pet Duo zum "Second Best Techno DJ" gewählt. Im Jahre 2002 wurde Ana Pet aus einer Gruppe von über 1600 Artist auserwählt, um an der Red Bull Music Academy in London teilzunehmen Ana und David sind Residents in verschiedenen Clubs in Sao Paulo, wie unter anderem im Piranha und Love. Auffällig natürlich auch die extravaganten Tattoos des Pet Duos, und ihre. Momentan arbeiten sie an neuen Tracks, die bald released werden. Conflict wird später live zur Sache gehen. An einem Abend, bei dem es irgendwann schwer ist, nochmals eins draufzusetzen, wird er genau das tun: Er hat in letzter Zeit viel Zeit mit Soundtüfteln verbracht und ist nun bereit zum next step: Seine Sounds wurden noch satter, das Set insgesamt detailreicher und dadurch runder und die Geschwindigkeit wird wie immer spontan entschieden! Emdejot wird Euch an diesem ungewöhnlichen Abend aufwärmen. Dafür hat er diesmal etwas anders gelagerte Sounds im Gepäck. |
