sonstiges	SKINNERBOX (DE/IL, Doxa/Jato-Unit/Neopren/Bar25/TonKind) Zwei Techno Hillbillies auf'm Dach von Berlin bringen Leben in den Stelz & Stampfwahn. Iftah Gabbai (Jerusalem) und Olaf Hilgenfeld (Berlin) hatten sich im Sommer 2004 gefunden und beschlossen mit ihren Mitteln die vortrefflichsten Plätze Berlins zu erobern. Ihr Rezept war und ist improvisierter Minimal Techno mit rotziger House Groovieness, fast komplett von Hand mittels Pattern Sequenzern, modifizierten Taschensamplern, Analog Moog Synthesizern gespielt und kontrolliert durch Ableton Live. Erfahrung aus traditionellen Musiken kommt ihnen zugute und der Gefahr, eine - wie man vermuten könnte - grauenvolle Mixtur aus musikalischem Können und Technoerahnen zu fabrizieren, unterliegen sie keineswegs. Am Ziel vorbei liegt nicht in ihrer Natur, stellen schnell Berlins Opinion Leader der Bar25 und Bachstelzen fest und geben Skinnerbox die Plattform, sich in der Hauptstadt-Techno-Renaissance ein Plätzchen zu reservieren. Auch außerhalb wird von dem frischen Live Act der beiden gesprochen und ihr Gütesiegel öffnet ihnen nach kurzer Zeit die Tore zu großen Events wie dem Sonar, dem Fusion Festival, der c/o Pop Köln und der Ars Elektronika Linz. Ihre neuesten Arbeiten sind in Studio Live Sessions mit der Berliner Musikerin Mademoiselle Elle P. entstanden. Ihr fast vollständig improvisiertes Gerüst ist ihnen nicht anzuhören, die Tracks atmen eine ungemeine Tech-House Frische. "Tricks" auf Seite A wandert auf Achtel getriebenem Sub- & Summbass, der nun einmal 2008 bestimmt. "Turteltaube" und "Anja" sind auf dezente Verspieltheit getrimmte funky Minimal Tracks, die zynisch - fast sarkastisch mit dem derzeitigen Partybenehmen spielen. Seit 2006 veröffentlichen Skinnerbox auf TonKind, Jato-Unit, Neopren und dem Label der Bar 25. Die Releases umfassen eine Bandbreite von fluffig kaltem Minimal bis hin zu jazzophilen Fingerfertigkeiten oder gar gekonnt bastardidem Gebolze. Ihre Produktionen der letzten Monate des Jahres 2008 zeigen eine neue, konsistentere Qualität. Due to a high demand for Jason's live sets world-wide, Jason left his full time career in Online Advertising in March of 2006 and began to tour extensively around the world. Consistently selling out each venue he has played, he is considered by many as "the 2007 break through dj" and has become one of the most In-Demand dj's on the global touring circuit.
