Specials/Infos	Noch den Jahreswechsel feiern und dann ist wieder gut mit Keksen, Punsch und Jingle Belles. Frohes Neues, guten Rausch… bald ist's überstanden. Doch wenn Neujahr auf einen Samstag fällt muss die Musik zwangsweise wohl etwas länger spielen. Den ersten Vorgeschmack für 2011 auf dem Flex Dancefloor macht am 1. Jänner BELOVED, die Veranstaltung mit der besonderen Art der Publikumszuwendung. Ehrengast ist David Delgado. DJ, Produzent, Wahlberliner mit kolumbianischen Wurzeln und zwei beachtlichen Releases, unter anderem auf einem Chicagoer Houselabel. Sein griffigen House Grooves auf dunklen Bass Lines entsprechen so manch lokalem Tanzrezept und erspielen sich vielleicht sogar das lokale Gütesiegel von den stadtbekannt wie hochgeschürzten Duos Gebrüder Grün und Lindner & Lampert, die für so einen Auftakt natürlich nicht fehlen dürfen. B I O G R A P H Y Born in Bogota, David Delgado fell in love with music at a very young age and started djing at 17 with a pair of 1200s he picked up in New York. Having relocated to the UK from his native Colombia in 2005, he has since played at a range of nights at some of London’s best electronic music clubs, such as the Egg, the Key, Public Life, Sosho and Aquarium plus a few warehouse raves in between, as well as Manchester favourite Sankeys. He has played internationally all over Colombia, at the many surrounding parties for Miami WMC, for shows such as Effectric in northern Italy, and at infamous Berlin institutions Bar25 and Club der Visionäre so far this year. After a successful debut at Watergate this month, plus dates at KlubD in Cyprus, Cafe Miesna in Poland alongside Mark Henning, and at Munich's Chaca Chaca with Bar25s Red Robin it looks like David's move to Berlin this month will be bringing his particular brand of punchy tech to new corners of the globe. David's DJ style merges a weave of drawn out layered techy bass lines with a catchy overlying house groove perfect for the dance floor. His love for electronic music merges with earlier influences of hip-hop, funk and soul, bringing a certain swing to the crisp techhouse sets he plays. Through consistently looking for the newest music around, David pushes himself to infuse each set with a fresh sound. His playful slick production style can clearly be recognised in his releases, the first of which, the Roniti EP, was out on Chicago label Siteholder UnCut in november 2008 as one half of beleejean. David’s next release, the Macondo EP, came out on Pete Lazonby’s GHI records in september 2009. R E C E N T N E W S David's impeccable style behind the decks at his recent performances in Berlin impressed us so much at Playkula, that we are pleased to welcome him to our roster for 2010. Anyone who was present for his 5 hour relentless dance marathon over at Club der Visionäre will certainly understand why! After an acclaimed set for Watergate this month, its certainly not only us that are somewhat taken by this new face to the scene. We are really looking forward to his forthcoming releases later this year. More to come from David for 2010 and beyond.
