Two separate L and R delay lines are available which can be panned individually. Each delay line can be synchronized to the host tempo with fully adjustable offset. A tap feature is provided, and the L/R delay times can be synchronized.


In Tape mode, the delay lines function as a classic tape delay. Changing the delay time will change the pitch of the signal accordingly, enabling you to create scratch-like effects because the delay line responds very smoothly to knob movements. In Stretch mode, the music slows down or speeds up while keeping the pitch the same.

The signal from the delay lines is fed to two highest-quality multimode filters that shape the sound any way you want. Each filter has six filter characteristics that define the unique sound and overdrive of the filter. They range from smooth with moderate overdrive to raw, self-oscillating and over-the-top! The filters are easy to tweak with the interactive filter display.

From the filters, the signal is taken back to the delays and can be adjusted with the feedback and cross-feedback knobs. Per-channel phase inversion is provided to create jaw-dropping flanger and phasing effects.


Adding modulation is easy with the drag-and-drop modulation matrix. To fill a modulation slot, simply drag the source button for a modulation source to the knob that you want to modulate! You can create incredibly complex sounds with ease by letting modulation slots modulate each other. Almost all parameters can be modulated.

Modulation sources: two LFOs, EG, velocity, aftertouch, mod wheel, pitch bend, and keyboard track. Each of these can modulate any modulation target.

The LFOs feature tempo/MIDI sync, triangle, sine, S&H, and random wave forms, adjustable wave balance, and a polarity option. The LFO frequency is a modulation target. All of the audio/MIDI triggered EG parameters are modulation targets as well.

It's commercial common knowledge that "people always want more distortions" and this is exactly what Ohmicide: Melohman is delivering. In one death blow.

Based on Predatohm design, Ohmicide:Melohman is organized around up to four frequency bands, each of them coming with their own Noise Gate, Dynamics, Distortion, Feedback Generator and all mixing abilities with just a twist of pre- and post-processing (distortion input, high shelf output...).

The DSP is 100% different from Predatohm: compressor/expander works differently to fit well with both the very sharp Noise Gate we've included and the huge amount of new distortions. Those are at the core of Ohmicide. They're designed to offer pretty much everything you can think of next to a lot of things you can't think of. Some, like the tasty "Porridge" distortion sounds deliciously analog, while the "Fractal" one is harsh and digital as hell. Or you've got the very dense "Accumulator" that can add low harmonics instead of high.

All those distortions are mainly new breeds - yet the classics are also covered. They all are declined in three variations: normal, ampsim and odd. The "Odd" one is terribly exciting as it gives you control on the harmonics frequency and allows for slightly detuned distortion. Last but not least, we've added a disto type that was missing from Predatohm... No distortion. It was an absolute need, considering how many things can be done just by using the multiband dynamics and/or the filter!

Indeed the filter that allows the band separation - much steeper than the Predatohm's - is matched with a recombining filter that correct the phase shifts it induced. This improves greatly the transients preservation as well as the filter sound. Add to this an interesting dynamics processing and you'll end up using it everywhere. We've warned you!

Predatohm addicts will be happy to know that not only does Ohmicide:Melohman include a feedback generator on each band, but that it can be spread in stereo.
Combined with all the different disto and melohman features it's a huge larsen soundscape waiting to spice up your tracks.

Die vier Filter können auf nahezu jede Weise geroutet werden und unterstützen Tiefpass-, Hochpass- und Bandpass-Antwortverhalten mit 12, 24 oder 48 dB/Oktave und 11 verschiedenen Filtercharakteristika: von weich mit moderaten Verzerrungen bis hin zu rauh, selbstoszillierend und darüber hinaus. Zu guter letzt enthält jedes Filter eine Delayline, inklusive Chorus, Flanging und Phasing.



Modulation



Die neuen, so genannten XLFOs erweitern den klassischen LFO und bieten Funktionen beginnend beim simplen Sinus oder Sägezahn bis hin zum programmierbaren 16-Step-Sequenzer. Die MIDI-Modulationsquellen erlauben die Nutzung jeder Form von MIDI Daten, wie Modulationsrad, Pitchbend, Keyboardtracking, Anschlagdynamik und Controllerdaten. Loop & sample mangling, glitching, randomizing

Overview:
Disturbance is primarily intended for the glitching/mangling of drum loops but it can also be useful with melodic material, vocals, and pretty much anything else you want to get glitchy with.

Disturbance is similar to a slicer, but a bit different. It works by chopping up a loop into 64 equal parts (no beat detection), then sequencing their playback, and each slice in Disturbance has its own loop point.

In addition to offering several playback order options, Disturbance also offers sequenced filtering, distortion, pitch shifting, and slice length adjustment...as well as various playback randomizations, dual delays, and non sequenced pitch shifting which can even be set to track MIDI note input, allowing you to turn anything you feed into Disturbance into a synth oscillator.

Disturbance can be used to create subtle or standard variations and effects, or it can warp your source material into something completely new. You can even adjust the start and end points of the sequencer to help you create odd time signature loops.

Additionally, you can even turn off the clock and use your Modulation wheel (CC1) to move forwards and backwards through the loop, almost like a wavetable.

D16 proudly presents our first Fx Plugin from our "SilverLine Collection" - Devastor. Devastor is a simple but remarkable Multiband Distortion Unit. It is an enhanced version of the distortion unit from our synth Phoscyon. Being multiband, the sonic mangling capabilities are endless!

Structure

Devastor consists of three blocks: dynamic-gain module, diode-clipper distortion and three filter sections. Each of the filters can process the signal before or after the diode-clipper. The filters are not the peaking EQ type which are used in classic multiband distortion They are like those found in analogue synthesizers (low pass, high pass, band pass and band reject)- with adjustable resonance and cutoff. As a result, Devastor has a completely unique sound - just check out the Factory Presets.

Versatile and advanced

Devastor can used to distort and enhance a wide range of sounds - From full-on acid synth sounds to guitar fuzz or analogue amp with combo speaker. It can even be used with drums to make them sound more dirty and dynamic! Devastor isn't just good at creating distorted monster sounds. It can also be used subtlety to improve the timbre and character of more gentle sounds. Reducing the preamp gain, increasing the threshold and selecting a soft-knee for the dynamics will bring out more warmth and detail in a sound without introducing distortion.

When designing Devastor, we applied special antialiasing techniques to the output signal to make sure the signal had no aliasing (aliasing is one of the reasons why digital distortion units sound so cold and un-musical). As a result, Devastor has a warm, musical and very high quality sound.

To hear Devastor, we would like to invite You to listen our audio examples. You'll find many types - from distorted acid lines, through drum'n'bass loops, to electric pianos and organs. Devastor is so good that you may think that the sound has been sent from the computer to an external analogue distortion unit and back into the computer again!

Requirements

Devastor is available in VST and AU format for both platforms (PC and Mac). It's a dynamic library (.dll file) for PC (VST only) and Universal Binary bundle for Mac (VST and AU).
To use the product you need Windows 2000/XP or Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later. It's not a standalone program so you need a VST or AU compatible host application to use it.

» Devastor is THE plugin to add the dirtier punch to my music production setup. There had been so many distorsion, saturation and filter plugins but DEVASTOR takes distorsion to another level with a broken but still brilliant sound I haven't experienced so far from a plugin like that.

Also since moving to the more techno influenced electronic music I am using parts of D16 products in every single production from Phoscyon to Nepheton or a combination from all them to get back the real old drum- and bassmachine sound ... «

Wie erzeugt man denn diese Reverse Effekte, bei denen der Track auf einmal so klingt als würde er rückwärts gespult werden?

meinst warscheindlich eine reverse kick, cymbal usw.

original samples hernehmen und mit deinem sequenzer per reverse funktion bearbeiten, sollte eigentlich schon so ziemlich jeder sequenzer haben

Alternativ kannst du auch tools wie Glitch hernehmen
