The second episode in the series by NEWS Belgium with the best chill out tunes. NEWS already started a big series with Heaven, a fantastic series full of deep trancetracks. This side series Heaven features the best chill out versions of known and unknown tracks. The artwork is, as usual, devastatingly good. Beautiful angelic creatures and a nice package present the atmosphere of this album very well. The package tells us that this is a chill-out MIX of the best trance anthems. Well, that's a tad misleading, because they are faded versions with sometimes a little cross-fading. That is a tad disappointing, for the rest it's all good. You can find the album in stores now on the NEWS imprint.

The discs
It's of no use to extensively review every tune on this album, but a brief description of what you can expect from this should say enough. From the moment the vocodered vocals of Gamemaster burst out of your speakers you are taken on an almost 2 x 80 minute journey of sizzling chill-out music with fantastic compositions, re-works and remixes of some of the best tracks in the history. It's stunning to see how well these tracks work also in slow-mo version and still totally translate the feeling of trance. Matt Darey - Gamemaster, Chicane - Saltwater, Three Drives - Greece 2000.. They all grab you in the same way as the originals did. But also lesser known tracks from Kansai and Pako & Frederik are excellent. Count on that some exclusive tunes from M.I.K.E. and Airwave and this collection is already gold.

Conclusion
Enough talking about how good this is. You can write a hundred pages about trance and chill-out music. But the best way to experience it is with your headphones on, waking up in Ibiza after your biggest clubbing night out. This is an almost perfect compilation, if it wasn't for the sometimes rough fades.. Still an excellent addition for chill out fans.
