With his energetic and intense tech house sound, full of swing, tribal rhythms & beats, Alex is said to be probably the most promising of upcoming producers & DJs in the scene. Greek by right, but a Londoner by choice, Alex Celler was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2004 he moved in London where he based his studio and since then it has been a story of hard work and righteous success.

His distinctive style and dedication to music has helped him establish his sound well into the electronic scene, that’s why his productions have been supported & championed continuously by a wide range of big DJs starting from Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice,and RRP Soundsystem to Dennis Ferrer, Masters At Work, Danny Tenaglia and Laurent Garnier to name a few. Because of his impressive production skills some of the most original record labels in the business such as Cocoon, Tuning Spork, Area Remote, Cecille, Freak N Chic, Buzzing Fly & Cinematic have released and licensed his productions and remixes over the past years. Well known in the scene as a purveyor of DJ-friendly dancefloor orientated records, with an astonishing range or productions, he has also been providing music in different moods under the aliase “Kemistry” .

Alex’s DJ style - similar to his own productions most of which he plays out - is an impressive blend of rare old and modern tracks, ranging from house to techno, infused with tribal rhythms & pumping, deep basslines. He has a precise intuition for the right record on the dancefloor and his DJ sets are full of mood changes, creating an atmosphere which grabs the listener to the very last record. Alex has been featured as a guest DJ in well respected club around the globe, including London's Fabric, T-Bar & The End, Ibiza's Underground, Amnesia, Space and many others including Trouw, Catwalk, Open House and he is also DJing around the UK and Europe consistently.

For our next podcast installment we have asked highly rated London whizzkid Alex Celler to join the party. Alex has shot to the attention of us through high recommendations from Nick Curly and Robert Dietz. With his ‘Trapped in Dub Ep’ release due out on Jay Haze’s TuningSpork imprint later this week, and his massive hit ‘La Palma’ which is gaining massive support from Luciano, Loco Dice and many more, is due out on the Dutch super label AreaRemote later this year. Not foregetting his work with fellow Londoner Anthea, which has caught the attention of Nick Curly and Cecille.

Alex is certainly one to watch over the next 12 months.
His mix is laden with tight percussion and solid tribal groove that we have become accustomed to in recent months here at mono_cult. He is one of our favourites and we do hope you enjoy....

also das geburtstagskind herr vavrovsky wird mal kraut und rüben von 23:00 bis 01:00 oder auch ein wenig länger spielen und dann herr celler (ich tippe mal auf ein 3 stunden set) danach claudio ricci

netter abend war das, herr vavrovsky hat ein echt sehr fettes set gespielt, hut ab!
