MAC OS X SNOW LEOPARD Einstellungen

wer musik mit Snow Leopard machen will sollte ev. noch bissl warten wenn er kein zweitsystem hat, aktuell schauts so aus:

Ableton Live: Preliminary compatibility; update and official support expected soon
Ableton does not yet recommend updating (neither does CDM), but notes positive early tests and anticipates full support – with an update – in the next few weeks for Live 8. Live 7 is also expected to work, with official information to follow. (8/27/09)

10.6 is not officially supported yet, as we're currently testing it with Live 8 and based on the results we will release a free bugfix update during the next weeks that will officially support 10.6.

Ich habe bereits installiert auf die Gefahr hin, dass ich Ableton ein paar Tage nicht verwenden kann.
ABER: Es funktioniert einwandfrei.... Massive, Battery auch. Alles bestens....
Die Performance hat - wie allgemein - zugenommen.

Traktor Scratch Pro funktioniert auch, hat das Audio 8 Interf. problemlos erkannt.... Xone 1D und das MIDI Assignment auch tadelllos.
Also von meiner Seite gibts keine Probleme.... werde morgen Traktor nochmal einem langen Test unterziehen, aber ich denke das passt schon.


Generell:
* Habe ca. 10GB zurück bekommen ... da ich noch eine kleinere Platte drin hab, begrüße ich das sehr.
* Performance deutlich gesteigert....

Nachdem sich auf der Oberfläche nicht so viel getan hat ist http://arstechnica.com/apple/reviews/2009/...c-os-x-10-6.ars sehr interessant um zu sehen was technisch alles neu ist. Blocks, Clang und GCD sind sehr interessant.

hab nach dem Kauf gleich das Snow Leopard installiert, is immerhin als DVD beigelegen... Bei den Standard-Anwendungen merkt man an gscheiten Performance-Boost! Heut wird aufs Heftigste installiert, dann weiß ich, was es ma bringt (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

die ersten 64 Bit Treiber von Access:

Da steht aber 10.6, nix von 64bit. Und der Kernel läuft bis auf Ausnahmen (Server) auch noch immer per Default im 32bit Modus.

This is a public beta which among other things includes experimental support for MacOS 10.6 (Both 32 bit and 64 bit).

Audio side chaining is currently not supported in Steinberg Cubase. The VST3 version shouldn't be used in a productive environment.

-VC: Reaper (unsupported host) was crashing when VC was instantiated (fixed)
-DR: Sound card audio can be distorted under certain circumstances (fixed, Mac OS X only)
-VC: On some systems, parameters sporadically stop sending events (fixed)
-VC: Automation data of VST3 Plug-In could not be edited in Cubase (fixed)
