Rak3te (@myspace / Klub Sir3ne) As founding member of Viennas very own Klub Sir3ne, he´s one who really cares about dub music. Klub sir3ne is an uncommercial party/event with d.i.y underground ethics presenting progressive musicians and artists. Nearly every month they got some nice acts of the international and national dub/dubstep scene like Disrupt, Radikal Dub Kollektiv, Fruitical Vibes, IZC and many more. He´s describing his own style as a sort of low bit minimal laptop dub. To know what this sounds like you best grab the mix linked below! The early drum'n'bass sounds at the legendary "liquid-planet" parties in Salzburg inspired him and his passion for this new urban sound was born. His playful combination of jungle and free tekno created a new style based on variety. Playing sets on 4 turntables with Miss Shina and being the main DJ of the experimental hardcore band "Elektroschleier" demonstrated his progressive and advanced style. Being part of Azubischall-Deluxe, a famous DJ/VJ collective, not only opened several doors, but also pushed him forward in improving and extending his musical style range. Since then, DJ Diaz paved his sound-way with drum'n'bass, jungle, freetek, breakcore/mashup, detroitbass, bailefunk, and finally , with the dark and strong beats of dubstep.In 2005 Azubischall-Deluxe and Cougart organized one of the most sophisticated party's in Salzburg: E-creation. This multimedia-event attracted over 1000 people and encouraged DJ Diaz to continue organizing events. Finally, "Tubeklub" was founded in 2006. This club was brought to life with the intention to place a new style - dubstep - and to increase the music scene in Salzburg.Tubeklub is run by DJ Diaz, DJ Odd, Lino, and Audiopille. This group is supported by well established Djs and producers from the local and international scene. As a party-promoter and DJ, he joined the "Stereofreezed Soundsystem" that synonymously stands for "free-party for free-people". Currently he also performs as the live DJ for the Grime/Metal/Elektro band The Äth. Today, DJ Diaz has become one of the main Austrian players, who's openness toward every new influence pushes the upcoming scene forward. DJ Diaz stands for musical progress, improvement, change and support of upcoming directions. At Twisted he´s going to play a Dubstep and Jungle set. No matter if it's in their back2back DJ sets - where they play mostly a mixture of percussive dubstep, dark garage beats, bassy minimal and reverbed dub-techno - their own productions: their aim has always been to create an unique piece of deep and danceable music. So far they've received lots of support from the dubstep scene and had a digital release on Graz' very own luv as well as features on compilations like hitz from beyond 3, styrian stylez and a web-only bonustrack from yesteryears elevate compilation. 2009 they got some more releases on different labels like LoDubs(Us), Echodub, Surface Tension and more. Watch their space for more upcoming info. In fact, before Marty got with ChristoFX into the El Rakkas project he mostly played Roots, Reggae and Dub.
