The APC40 (Ableton Performance Controller) is a dedicated controller for Ableton Live, designed by the same engineering team responsible for Akai's iconic MPC range of products. This is a dream come true for the Ableton Live community and an exciting first step into the world of Ableton Live for new users.


The APC40 features high quality controls for real-time mixing, remixing and production. 109 buttons, 16 endless encoders with LED rings, nine 45mm faders and a replaceable crossfader give musicians and producers complete control of Live's Session View, effect devices and virtual instruments.

Whether you're in the studio or on stage, DJing, making beats, running backing tracks, firing MIDI loops or triggering sound effects, you can kiss your mouse goodbye.

The APC40 was co-designed by Ableton and Akai Professional.

The APC40's unique matrix of buttons gives you direct access to the clips in your Session View. The matrix has 40 three-color buttons arranged in a five-scene-deep-by-eight-track-wide grid.

Session Overview
The Session Overview lets you navigate through your Live Set quickly. Hold down the Shift button and the matrix zooms out to reveal an overview of your Session View.

The classic mixer section gives you controls for volume, solo/pre-cue, record arm and mute functions. The eight faders correspond to a bank of eight tracks in Live; you can shift right and left to move to tracks nine, ten and beyond.

The APC40 features an intuitive way of controlling effects and virtual instruments. Eight endless dials and four control buttons map to your devices automatically for flexibility and speed on stage or in the studio.

Live's Play, Stop and Global Record buttons are all easily accessible, and four additional buttons provide direct access to some global functions in Live, cleaning up your screen view onstage and freeing you from the mouse in the studio.

The Track Control section consists of eight endless dials with LED rings and four buttons. The eight encoders control parameters related to the current bank of eight tracks.

Tap Tempo and Nudge Left/Right buttons are essential for live performance, helping you to stay in sync with turntables, other musicians or a live band, and correct timing issues quickly.

The APC40's replaceable crossfader can stand up to some pretty brutal treatment. Not only an essential DJ control, it's also handy for controlling effect, volume and modulation curves.

Nach 2 tagen rumspielen mit dem teil habe ich einen gravierenden mangel festgestellt der mich wohl wieder zum haendler treiben wird...





















Und zwar der mangel einer zweiten apc ;-). Morgen gibts dann den versprochenen track.

haha, die sollen mal die tollen geräte als zusatz bauen, dies hier auf seite eins zu bewundern gibt! dann das ganze am besten über fire wire, dann kann man das schön daisy chainen!

Der neue Ableton Live Controller APC40 von Akai ist bereits bei Verkauf sehr umfassend vorkonfiguriert. Doch es geht immer noch ein bißchen besser, immer noch ein bißchen persönlicher. Seht selbst.

welcher der beiden controller wäre eher zu empfehlen? eben der AKAI APC, der CME BITSTREAM 3X (oder vielleicht ganz was anderes)? rein optisch und anhand der videos spricht mich der AKAI ja schon weit mehr an aber da es doch eine längerfristige investition werden sollte möchte ich natürlich keinen fehlgriff machen.

zuerst mal sorry, hab versehentlich deinen beitrag bearbeitet...wollt eigentlich ja den Antwort button drücken (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sneaky2.gif) uuups - aber is schon wieder rückgängig gemacht.


-längerfristig ist nichts so recht beim producen (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) - das eine kommt das andere geht...besonders bei kontrollern - die ja nie perfekt sein werden...

aber ich denke der apc kommt dem perfekten schon näher als andere boxen...



zuerst kommt die frage- was willst mit ableton überhaupt machen - auflegen? producen? liveacten?

fürs auflegen ist eventuell der bitstream geigneter weil du auf einen blick 8 fader hast und 8 potis (für eq z.B.)
Anderseits, wirst mit dem bitstream und den analogen Potentiometern sehr schnell an seine grenzen stoßen.

von dem her ist der apc dem bitstream sofort vorzuziehen ---> da die Endlosencoder mit ledringen gelayert werden können und somit in summe extrem viel mehr Kontrolle über ableton erlauben, nicht zu vergessen die Cliplaunchmatrix, die sowohl fürs producen, liveacten und djing absulut brauchbar ist....

ich würde sagen apc... allein schon wegen den encoderen die der bitstream nit hat....

hab aber beide nicht, hab mich aber in beide schon reingedacht (IMG:style_emoticons/default/satisfied.gif)

Fuer was? Ableton? Dann die apc...wennst andere dinge auch nich steuern willst den bitsteream und ein launchpad....Apc ist halt ein dedizierter controller, man kann ihn zwar mit max selber programmieren aber naja. Ich nutze mittlerweile 2 parallel in live und imo gibts nix besseres fuer....

kein problem phat:)
eigentlich ausschließlich für ableton zum liveacten... hab mir vor einem jahr viel zu vorschnell den BCF2000 gekauft (wo ich mir in nachhinein echt auf den kopf fasse) und würde jetzt wo ich ein bisschen ahnung hab den passenden deckel zum topf kaufen. das dinge kommen und gehen ist klar aber es geht mir um das JETZT.
