FINEST SELECTION OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC

17.10.2007 HOSTED BY MANIAX.AT

Biography Oscar:

Oscarsix can trace the beginnings of his musical involvement to a party at Kunstwerk club in Vienna. He realized the sounds he was hearing and feeling created a very interesting effect. During one of the parties he attended, Oscar met DJ UEZ. Together they began playing at various spots located in the Austrian capital. One day, Oscar decided to travel to Krakow, Poland, where he was born. There, he would attempt to throw parties. After contacting DJ MK Fever, a respected local DJ, the first party was scheduled to take place at club Krzysztofory in Krakow. The event was very successful and soon they began organizing parties at clubs such as Zwiazkowiec, Grodzka 8, Zelazna, Underdiskox, etc. In 1998, Oscar met Natasza, with whom he played at many events in Poland.
Natasza&Oscarsix put their DJ careers on hold in 1999 due to college, but never lost their fascination with electronic music. During those years they created a serious collection of vinyl records and an even greater nostalgia for the music scene. In 2002, along with Simon LeBon, they created an international collective of DJs, artists, and producers called Project East. This organization brought together people not only from Europe, but also Australia and the United States. In mid 2004, the collective seized to exist. In September 2004, Natasza and Oscarsix introduced a new international label called PE! Music (www.pemusic.org), which concentrated on producing underground house records. Their first release came out in early 2005. One Day was an original track along with remixes by DJ Freestyle (Aus), Bill Payer (UK), and Patrick Kong (A). Their next release in mid 2005, titled Ulla-La was the result of their collaboration with the legendary Polish jazz vocalist Urszula Dudziak. The third EP, containing singles from Vernon & DaCosta, DelCosta & PedroGoya, Jacob and Natasza & Oscarsix, came out in 2006. In late 2006, Natasza & Oscarsix won an international remix contest for No Assembly Firms Ghetto Fab, organized by Uniform Recordings (USA). In January 2007, they also released a remix for the Hungarian label I Love Deep Records (Budai & Vic I Feel You Closer). The current year will undoubtedly bring new releases from the Austrian duo. Among those will be the EP Natasza & Oscarsix Project 06(Planet East Music). This label belongs to the legendary house producer Alexander East. Also, they will be part of a sampler to be released by Uniform Recordings (USA). Their sets often appear on www.undergroundhouse.net , one of the more established internet platforms representing underground house music. Natasza & Oscarsix have been loyal representatives of the underground house music scene in eastern Europe by organizing events with artists like: DJ Raoul (Swirl People), Joey Youngman, Vernon & DaCosta, Johnny Fiasco, DelCosta & Pedro Goya, DJ Freestyle, Asad Rizvi, Tom Gillieron, Lil Mark, Jef K, Thomas di Matteo, Kelvin K, Bjorn Wilke, Al Bradley, Jacob, Grant Dell, Urszula Dudziak, Bill Payer, DJ Harry, David Duriez, Tim Paris, Amir Javasoul, Patrick Pulsinger, Kaliber 44, and Andy Compton(The Rurals).

Biographie Natasza:

Natasza is co-founder of the international, alternative musical movement called Project East and PE! Music (signed in September 2005). Before her connecting with electronic music, she was being faithful of punk tones. However, when time has risen, that musical wavy breath from United Kingdom (from Manchester concretely) was being focused herself. But then it has brought big dose of electronic music with and she has been sure for which in certain period. And its still nowadays. She started djing in 1996 year. She has been transmitted from domestic parties for playing at clubs fastly. She was one of first polish girl that was mixing waxes in 90s. She has put her first steps in Silesian clubs, where she hypnotized in and, using house music, she inclined clubbers to dance. Between 1998 and 1999 Natasza removed to capital of Austria Vienna and there her musical style was spread out more else and it evolved widely. Her fastidious and very demanding, requiring savor has achieved apogee on this rough terrain. She has played in such Austrian clubs, like: W.U.K, Massiv, Spark, Nelsons, SubZero, B72, U -club, Blue Box, Ra'an. However, she wanted play on editing of prestigious cycle of performance in Vienna named - H.A.P.P.Y. And her main dream came true. Its even possible to hear and see her performance in Czech clubs like: Perpetuum (in Brno) or Matrix (in Prague). She has ever razed out about her ancestries and she sometimes plays in Prozak club in Cracov. Notwithstanding she doesnt live and devote her soul to be only a dj. She likes to travel, read books and immerse and emerge in computer games world. Natasza and Oscarsix are frequent guests on waves of Austrian radio Fm4, where during slot named La Boum Deluxe they advertise portion tone rarity and high quality of deep house and tech house music. To her favorite labels, who represent her summary of electronic clue belong: 2020 Vision, Amenti, Bombay, Brique Rouge, Classic, Coco Machete, Diy, Doubledown, Lowdown, Flat Round, Flygaric, Freaked, Mantis, Missive, Myna, Robsoul, Silver Network, Select etc. In her opinion the best djs and composers are: Jef K, Fred Everything, Charles Webster, Demarkus Lewis, Brett Johnson, JT Donaldson, Lance DeSardi oraz Jeremiah. Natasza also began work with her production of musical recording with her husband Oscar (aka Oscarsix). Their common musical craft (with cooperated with Cracovs vocalist Fraise de bois) track called One Day has interested some Paris labels, as well as it was presented in broadcasting station in Barcelona also. They released like first ep of PE! Music Records in February 2005. Besides orignal One Day version it also contains remixes made by DJ Freestyle, Bill Payer and Patrick Kong. . One Day was being emphasized, for instance, by known Canadian producent & dj Tyler Stadius, even by British Paolo Mojo and by Tom Golden from Manchesters Housegrown Music Collective. Besides the original version of One Daywas being put on Ra'mien the compilation (released in Soundlab Records) which is featured fresh, extravagant and fine Viennas and international producers of electronic music. The second ep called Ulla-la was released in April 2005. Itsnt such housey style such One Day. Ulla-la is more jazzy and broken wax. Its a fruit of cooperation between PE! Musics producers and the legendary icon of polish jazz Ms Urszula Dudziak. It was molded on deep-jazzy house versus big beat and drumnbass musicals shape. Ulla-la was released on limited 500 copies around the world. However, it will release in massive digital version soon. Polish weekly called Newsweek put in the one of aprils edition an article about PE! Music agency and Ulla-la. Moreover, Natasza with Oscarsix and with rest of PE! Music producers are going to prepare next, third ep.
