Not restricted to one specific sound, Heavy Artillery stands for anything that’ll make a boy Wyle-Out; Or a girl for that matter. Dubstep, Grime, Break-step, Frog-step?… as long as it BANGS!, it’s in. With the DJ and today’s “clubber” always in mind, quality and quantity are the orders of the day. The first two releases being 4 track EP’s from two of the most prolific talents on the circuit. Dubchild and 2nd II None. Dubchild’s “Lethal Dubz Pt.1” (Heavy001) is an immense EP already receiving heavy dubplate rotation from the selected few, whilst 2nd II None’s much anticipated “Deep Trouble EP” looks set to be one of the defining releases of the year. Also look out for some huge releases from the likes of dubstep / dark 2 step legend El-b, Rossi B and Luca, Chunky Bizzle, Zomby, Mr. Slash, L.A.S, EJ and more. Having founded the successful More2dafloor and A.R.M.Y records and discovered tracks like Dexplicit’s “Might Be”, “Bullacake” aswell as numerous grime / dubstep anthems from the likes of M.R.K 1, Plastician, 2nd II None, Dubchild, Mr Slash, EJ & Virgo, DJ Rossi B takes six years experience with him in setting up afresh with this new venture. These are exciting times… DJ’s and bass lovers everywhere… make sure your strapped. Bio “When Touch heard Rossi B & Luca’s demo, they heard a set that stood out from the crowd...This is today’s sound of the superstar DJ’s of tomorrow.” TOUCH, MAY 2002. This is no hype. Rossi B and Luca have the streets and more locked. Rossi B took to the decks at 17 and just a year later joined premier station London Underground. It was by chance he stumbled across a mix on the internet by DJ Luca. After getting in touch a solid friendship was instantly born and they joined forces to become one of the biggest up and coming duos. But they aren’t the average UK garage team. Although now firm faces at UK Garage clubs in the UK and abroad, Luca’s roots lie in Hip Hop, R&B and dancehall where as Rossi’s music history stems from jungle and popular dance. Their combined influences make for the distinct and unmistakable sound of Rossi B and Luca, flinging down everything from Grime, Bassline House and Old skool with a few surprises for good measure. “...Their debut release has all the ingredients to gain them a place on UK garage’s top table.” MUZIK, DEC 2002. On the production front their first release Skunk/Strider was one of 2003’s biggest vinyl sellers, featuring on EZ’s ‘Bass, Breaks, and Beats’ compilation. Since then they have gone from strength to strength, collaborating with some of the finest MC coming talent in the UK, whilst still finding time to run A.R.M.Y and More2dafloor records, arguably the two biggest record labels on road right now, consistently repping in the official sales charts by BBC 1xtra. Having risen through the club and pirate ranks, they left 2003 as “The Award Winning” Rossi B and Luca, having been crowned “best newcomer DJ” at the prestigious Sidewinder People’s Choice Awards. At 2004’s ceremony they went one step further, coming 3rd in the “best DJ” category behind only the legendary EZ and Fonti (Heartless Crew), and 5th in “Best Grimey DJ”. Their radio show on Rinse FM came in as the 9th best, one of only 3 pirate radio shows to receive nomination. “In a garage world full of haters, no one has a bad word to say about Rossi B and Luca...these two have made their name the old fashioned way – by being great DJ’s. ” DEUCE, MARCH 2003. Over the years as well as an ever increasing fanbase, spanning many different continents, the press attention has grown beyond normal realms, with features, cover CDs and reviews with institutions like Touch, RWD, Deuce, Fader (USA), IDJ, Muzik, ID and Mixmag whilst the internet forums are constantly buzzing about their latest mix, remix or production.
