hier noch etwas info zu den acts (manches auf deutsch, manches auf englisch):

5.5.:

In Flagranti

These guys don't really have a bio, they are so funny like that. Well anyway, you need to know that these are 2 Swiss cheese Muthafucka's who re-installed their rumps in NYC in the 80's, 90's or whenever (they are sooo old!! heh-heh). Alex Gloor, graphic designer, fucker-arounder, nightlife stalker, crate digger, the "weird guy" in the corner. And Sasa Crnobnja, the DJ, beatmaker, dubmaster, former Organic Grooves band leader, former seamster (is that a word?), and a chill human. Formed Codek Records in '96, now they create alittle group they call 'In Flagranti' and they've been dropping these killer 12" records in the last year. Their latest called "Bang-Bang!" is a decadent disco number which features the vocals of Repellent Magazine's Ihu Anyanwu, a.k.a G.Rizo. So that's what you need to know.

VJ Scarab:

scarab sees himself as a autodidact media artist with the main focus on visual arts. his goal is to take people on a visual journey either with his intuitive work as club-vj, virtual rooms with his installations or with the editing of shortmovies. He always tries to work with a lot of different artists, merge the ideas into one and evolve the creative output to it's maximum.
Besides the projects synoptics & eye|con he's also founding member of the mediaartist-group called ShadowWalker, which are among other things organizers of the national and international Short Film Festival UNEXPLORED.

12.5.:

Markus Kienzl

After 2 EPs, several soundtracks, and scores of remixes and contributions to compilations, Markus Kienzl, a member of renowned electronic dub collective Sofa Surfers, is ready to release his first solo album. The result of four years of work, “Product“ is a compilation of tracks that were reshaped and harmonized specifically for the album format.
The development of the album’s sound aesthetics is both stringent and traceable. It shares with its quasi-precursor, the “TILT“-EP (released on Klein Records in 1999), the understated and seductive soundtrack-like atmosphere as well as the interplay of dry and minimal dub rockers, soul influences, semi-industrial jazz, and sci-fi ragga.
“Sure, club music is quite important for me but I’d be bored producing an album of music just for clubs. That makes sense if you produce a single, and it’s great fun doing it live in the clubs. I remodel the tracks for that purpose. An album, however, is another thing altogether.“ This attitude is responsible for the fact that Kienzl created a number of tracks that work well on the dance floors, yet have enough substance to be carefully listened to in calmer surroundings.
Tracks such as “The Hood“ (feat. Oddatee), “Dundy Lion” (feat. Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman) , and “Mason” subtly force the pace while songs such as “Like A Ghost“ (feat. Barbara Stanzl) and “Send Some Love“ represent a highly individual approach toward soul and dub reggae. “Battery“, “Peace Demonstration“ and “Lost”, on the other hand, are prime downbeat tracks that skillfully conjure up magical and mysterious scenarios.
“The tracks are partly based on a single looped sound that may be almost inaudible in the final mix. What is essential for me is that the tracks are designed like paintings... I begin with a first grounding, then I decide on a structure and, lastly, I start to apply the paint – sound color, so to say.“
As befits the nature of a solo album, “Product“ is a highly personal work – “It would be great if listeners would pick up the threads themselves. Ideally, when they listen to the album, they’d feel just what I was feeling when I made it.“

C27:

19.5.:

Dixon

Dixon is a DJ. A discjockey in the truest sense of the word, and a man on a mission.
Born in Berlin 30 years ago, Steffen "Dixon" Berkhahn is first and foremost a House DJ. He was a weekly resident at the some of the most important nightclubs in Berlin since the mid Nineties - such as the legendary E-Werk,or the the Tresor club. But it soon became obvious that his definition of House was much deeper than the House music which was played in Berlin at that time.
From 1996 on he ran "Audio Video Disco" one of Germany’s most influencial House night at the WMF club in Berlin together with his partner Mitja Prinz. There is no way of avoiding Dixon if you are speaking about contemporary House music in Germany today.
In 1998 he hooked up with the Jazzanova boys and his first release for their Sonar Kollektiv label was his remix for the Jazzanova side-project Extended Spirit. Since then he has remixed tons of artists such as Femi Kuti, Atjazz, Jazzanova, Attica Blues, Brooks, I-Cube, Georg Levin, Taxi, Kemetic Just, Beanfield, Clara Hill, Fauna Flash, Meitz and not so many others. He also produced such classic House tracks like "When I`m With You" or "(I got) somebody new" for Georg Levin. In 2002 he started a production collaboration with Georg Levin called "Wahoo". The first single they produced as Wahoo is called "Make Em Shake It" and was such a big hit in 2004 that in 2005 it was signed to one of the biggest House labels of the world - Defected Records. Watch them come.
Over the last 5 years, the success of his remixes and his Off Limits Mix CD brought him to nearly all good House-clubs worldwide He was so busy travelling and producing that he stopped his weekly residency in Berlin in 2004. But since there are just a few good House clubs left in Germany he decided to relaunch his clubnight again this spring. The night is called Innercity and is at the Weekend club in Berlin.
