thx.

hier gibts info zu Rudd:

DJ since 1999, though music has been his passion since childhood, when his parents got him into music school to master the piano.

As for DJing, he found his first influence in german hip-hop DJs and started out buying records of the particular genre of old-school american hip-hop. Eric B. & Rakim, Run DMC & Beastie Boys - records by these artists were the first items in Rudd's collection. Though all these vinyls got sold after a while when his schoolmate and friend now known as DJ X-Ray turned into a technoelectropop fan. Playing WestBam, Members of Mayday, Mr. X & Mr. Y followed shortly. So the very first sets in front of a larger audience at private parties and school events were played on this german Low Spirit vibe.

During his highschool years Rudd founded his first band called Deep Moon Draft. At this point came his interest towards actually producing electronic music. Two guitars, the synthesizer and a PC was the setup, deep house and downtempo with funky and jazzy additions was the charecteristics of DMD - a live and electronic trio. About the same time Rudd met DJ Vital (his present collegue from Quadrat Musique) who was working in a local record store. Thanks to Vital, Rudd got into house music influenced by jazz.

In the year 2001, in collaboration with X-Ray, Rudd organized the first DMD gig at Dizzi Music Club. Shortly after his first gig Rudd was invited to reside on monthly basis. In a couple of months Rudd was already dropping his tunes at the most respected underground club in Riga - Metro. Later on, DJ Rudd became a resident of the legendary Dizzi House, playing together with Bogdan Taran, DJ Crumar, DJ Grey (also a Quadrat Musique member) and others. After 10 fantastic and busy months Dizzi House was closed and Rudd was invited to play at the freshly done Depo.

Countless live performances and a split followed for DMD. Joining Quadrat Musique crew followed for DJ Rudd. DJ LeZzz and Vital invited Rudd to join their project Oriola. Later he also started out composing music together with Andis Ansons of DMD's fame. They called themselves Bandmaster's Flight. Today they hold great honour of already doing remixes for such artists as BrainStorm, Jazz 'n' Tank, Oriola and Automagic from NYC. A 12" of their own music comes out by the end of 2004 on Bogdan Taran's new label Amber Muse - the first official independent dance music label in Latvia.

Right now DJ Rudd is one of the most demanded DJs in Latvia, his sound - "deep and soulful grooves on different kinds of beats". Can be a late night, broken and even techy big room rhythm.

In the passage of time he has also resided in Nautilus and Essential in Riga, together with his friend DJ Rxd done a remix for a Eurovision Song Contest winning tune (Marie N's "I Wanna") and played together with such big-names as Lenny Fontana (Odyssey, US), Jamie Lewis (Purple Music, CH) and Antipop (Telepopmusik, FR). Rudd with the QM crew are active promoters of latvian dance scene doing regular parties across the country, also getting regulary mentioned on flyers of neighbour states.
