Ab-so-lute-ly slamming mix from the DJ formerly known as the Three Deck Wizard, The Man Like Carl Cox. His previous efforts at putting together mix CDs have been highly successful, his 1995 and 1996 “F.A.C.T.” collections and the 2001 BBC Radio One “Essential Selection” were especially well selected and mixed, but “Global” is simply outstanding. Throughout his career, Cox has managed to take whatever the current sound du jour is and slam it together with a blend of techno, breakbeats, trance and house (disco to progressive) to make a sound uniquely his own. In 2002 with “Global” he makes no mistakes on this front again, combining the afore-mentioned genres, pitching them up to +8 and knocking them about. Another great mix from one of the best DJs in the world.
