Januar '95 in der EU sind und noch nie Fußballweltmeister waren (und wohl auch nie werden)? Genau, die Vorliebe ihrer Bürger für knackend treibenden Techno. Daher freuen wir uns Euch nach der unvergessenen Nacht mit Adam Beyer letzten Oktober dieses Frühjahr wieder ein skandinavisches Special im Rahmen der Suncity präsentieren zu können. Am 24.4.04 werden Staffan Ehrlin aka DJ Slobodan, in Österreich seit seinen beiden Suncity-Auftritten 2002 und 2003 bekannt und bewundert, und das Headroom DJ Team aus Malmö, bestehend aus Staffan's Bruder Niklas Ehrlin aka Aon Flux, Patrik Skoog und Henrik Larsson, den Dom im Berg in akute Einsturzgefahr bringen. Das Headroom DJ Team sind Patrik Skoog, Niklas Ehrlin aka Aon FluX and Henrik Larsson aus Malmö. Als sie sich im Sommer 97 unter dem Namen Headroom zusammen schlossen, verfügten sie bereits über Erfahrungen als eigenständige Produzenten elektronischer Musik, die auf Ataris und Synthesizern basierend, ihre Vorliebe für Elektronika, EBM und Industrial wiederspiegelte. Diese Wurzeln sind noch heute in ihren Produktionen hörbar, auch wenn sich der Stil über die Jahre immer mehr in Richtung des frühen Detroit Sounds und zu dem, was man heute als modernen Techno bezeichnet, entwickelt hat. 1998 unterschrieben Headroom ihren ersten Plattenvertrag bei dem Stockholmer Label Loop Records. Dieser ersten Veröffentlichung folgte ein Single Release auf dem damals brandneuen Evil Deception Label des Cosmic One Record Store in Malmö. Unter verschiedenen Projektnamen folgten weitere Veröffentlichungen auf Evil Deception. Nachdem ihre Produktionen auch jenseits der schwedischen Grenzen Gehör fanden folgten Veröffentlichungen auf großen europäischen Labels wie Shokoy Records, Holzplatten, Parasound, Planet Rhythm und Compound sowie Bookings in den USA, England und auf dem europäischen Festland Headroom werden auf der Suncity als Tag-Team zu dritt auf 6 Decks spielen. Staffan Ehrlin, seit letztem Jahr Wahl-Grazer, wird das schwedische Programm abrunden und präsentiert gleichzeitig sein neu ins Leben gerufene Label goatheadrecords, das seinen Sitz, wie er, in Graz hat. Die futuretechartists (www.futuretchartists.com) Miss Sunshine aus Kroatien, Dean Rodell aus UK (unknown forces records) und der Grazer Christian Gerlich (ebl) vervollständigen das Line-up der Nacht und verpassen diesem Suncity Schweden - Special eine paneuropäischen Note. Staffan Erhlin aka Slobodan:  Biographie Headroom:   Headroom/su:real-Grangatan 2 v11, 21214 Malmo, Sweden-fax: +46 40 101 110 Booking: [email protected] The Headroom project name contisting of Patrik Skoog, Aon FluX and Henrik Larsson started off in southern Sweden sometime 1997.Prior to that each member have a history in producing music, as early fans of electronica and industrial music from artists such as cEvin Key and Front 242 they started to make electro music with Atari´s and synthezisers. This genre has been reflected in their musical creation over the years and has slowly evolved into the current sound which is rather more influenced by the likes of early Detroit pioneers and modern techno.In 1998 Headroom signed their first record deal to release a twelve inch on well established Stockholm techno label Loop Records. That debut was followed up by a single on the at the time all fresh Evil Deception label hosted by Cosmic One record store, Malmoe. More releases have always followed on this hardhitting hometown label under different psuedos. After playing in the USA, Europe and the UK Headroom have proved the world their skills behind turntables as well and either work tagteam, spinning 6 decks, or as solo-dj´s.Keep a look out for a full length mix CD out before you know it. As of the first year of the new millennium Headroom have made their debut on the classic New Yorkian label Synewave, as well as releases keep coming from the other side of the Atlantic through labels like Blueline and Contaminated. Labelprofile SU:REAL Behind the label name su:real are three Swedish producers, primarily known for their recordings under the name Headroom. In addition to the some thirty techno releases as Headroom they have also recorded at least as many under different aliases. After doing some initial releases since 1998 on labels such as Planet Rhythm and Loop they released their highly acclaimed debut album Shades of shape on P.Rhythm. Following the album they got signed to numerous European and North American labels like Compound, Holzplatten and Synewave. They had developed a distinct Headroom-sound which was an innovative dark and futuristic approach to hard techno and this gave them the opportunity to perform at parties and clubs around the world with their six turntable show. Recently side projects has brought on major changes to Headroom as Patrik Skoog´s label</a> ND has taken a more important role for him at the same time as Niklas Ehrlin´s and Henrik Larsson´s Air Bureau has been a priority for them. This considered, and celebrating 5 years as recording artists, they all wanted to once again put Headroom in focus by starting this concept label of nine releases. The music is in center, and will be a progression of the Headroom- sound. You can expect every release to take different directions musicwise, and each cover can be put together with the remaining ones to complete the visual experience of the series. |
