Apple hat heute Logic Studio vorgestellt. Es enthält Logic Pro 8, ein umfangreiches Upgrade, das ein neues Interface mit Logics Klangqualität und festem Timing kombiniert. Mit Mainstage bietet die Software-Suite eine neue Anwendung für Live-Auftritte, die den Mac in ein Live-Rig verwandelt. Logic Studio beinhaltet zudem Apples Audio-Post-Production-Software Soundtrack Pro 2. Desweiteren umfasst es Studio Instruments, bestehend aus 40 Instrumenten; Studio Effects, mit 80 Effekt-PlugIns; eine große Bibliothek mit Studiosounds und eine Zusammenstellung von Produktionsprogrammen.

Den Kern von Logic Studio bildet Logic Pro 8, jetzt mit einem Ein-Fenster-Interface für sofortigen Zugriff auf die Musikkreations- und Produktionsfunktionen, darunter 'snap-to-transient'-Auswahl sowie Editieren direkt im Arrangierfenster. Neue Audioproduktionswerkzeuge wie zum Beispiel „Quick Swipe Comping" und die dynamische Erstellung von Kanalzügen beschleunigen das Erledigen alltäglicher Aufgaben. Logic Pro 8 bietet zudem die Möglichkeit zur durchgehenden Surround-Produktion, durch Surround-Panning-Regler, Mehrkanal-Spuren und -Busse sowie die Unterstützung realer Surround-Software-Instrumente und -Effekte.

Mainstage macht aus dem Mac ein Software-Rig. Bildschirmbedienelemente koppeln die Software-PlugIns mit Hardware-Drehreglern, -Fadern und -Knöpfen, so dass Musiker einen Liveauftritt auch weiterhin mit ihrer gewohnten Lieblingsausrüstung bestreiten können. Eine interaktive Anzeige wurde speziell dafür entworfen, auch über größere Distanzen bei schummerigem Licht erkennbar zu sein. Vorlagen erleichtern das Set-Up und ergänzen das Mainstage-Paket.

Mit Soundtrack Pro 2 können Musiker ihre Filmmusik in Logic Pro 8 komponieren und anschliessend die Dialoge bearbeiten, Soundeffekte entwerfen und den Mix in filmischem Klang vervollständigen.

Mit 40 Instrumenten-PlugIns versetzt Studio Instruments Musiker in die Lage, auf viele Klänge zurückzugreifen und mit diesen Sounds zu spielen. Es beinhaltet weiterentwickelte Versionen des Ultrabeat-, Sculpture- und ES2-Synthesizers und des Samplers EXS24. Studio Effects enthält ein neues Delay-Designer-PlugIn, das weitestgehende Kontrolle über individuelle Delay-Taps bietet. Das Designer-PlugIn Space bietet jetzt die True-Surround-Weiterentwicklung für die Multikanalaudioverarbeitung. Logic Studio gibt Musikern eine Bibliothek mit Studiosounds bestehend aus den Inhalten der fünf ‚Jam Pack'-Sammlungen und der Soundlibrary von Final Cut Studio 2 an die Hand. Insgesamt 18.000 Apple-Loops, 1.300 EXS-Instrumente und 5.000 Soundeffekte der verschiedensten Genres und Stilrichtungen stehen somit dem Logic-Studio-Nutzer zur Verfügung. Die Produktionsprogramme bestehen aus Waveburner für das Mastering von CDs, Compressor 3 für das Kodieren im Surround-Format, einer speziellen Apple-Loops-Applikation sowie einem neuen Impuls-Resonanz-Programm zum Erfassen der Akustik einer realen Auftrittsumgebung.





Gleichzeitig hat Apple Logic Express 8 vorgestellt. Das bietet einen leicht reduzierten Funktionsumfang gegenüber Logic Pro. So ist hiermit keine Surround-Produktion möglich und statt der 40 Instrumente bei Logic Studio sind es 36. Auch die Effekte aus der Studio-Effects-Suite ist von fünf auf vier reduziert – der Space Designer ist nicht mit an Bord.

Logic Studio ist ab sofort zum Preis von 479 Euro über den Apple Store, die Apple Retail Stores und den Apple Fachhandel erhältlich. Registrierte Nutzer von Logic Pro 7 erhalten ein Upgrade auf Logic Studio für 199 Euro. Kunden, die Logic Pro 7 an oder nach dem 1. August 2007 erstanden haben, sind zu einem kostenfreien Upgrade auf Logic Studio berechtigt. Neue Version wird im Paket als Logic Studio vermarktet </h4> Apple hat eine neue Version von Logic Pro vorgestellt, die als Paket unter dem Namen Logic Studio angeboten wird. Im Zuge dessen wurde der Preis für das Software-Musik-Studio drastisch gesenkt. Für Live-Auftritte wurde die Software MainStage beigelegt, die einen Mac-Rechner zu einem leistungsfähigen Rig machen soll. Dazu verbinden Bildschirmbedienelemente die Software-Plug-Ins mit den Hardware-Drehreglern, -Fadern und -Knöpfen, so dass Musiker einen Liveauftritt auch weiterhin mit ihrer gewohnten Ausrüstung bestreiten können. Die Darstellung wurde so optimiert, dass sie auch aus großen Distanzen und bei schummerigem Licht gut zu erkennen sein soll.

Als weitere Beigaben gibt es Soundtrack Pro 2 sowie 40 Instrumenten-Plug-Ins und 80 Sound-Effekte. August 2007 erworben hat, erhält ein kostenloses Upgrade und muss nur eine Liefer- und Bearbeitungsgebühr bezahlen. edit, das programm muss erst erfunden werden das es mit ableton als live instrument aufnehmen kann, klanglich ist logic leider um einiges besser... aber was hilft der beste klang, wenn man ihn net spielen kann.

Nichts desto troz ist logic sicher gut für die typischen bandmaschinen anwendungen (IMG:style_emoticons/default/closedeyes.gif)
