about: Matt Chester runs London based deep techno label 11th Hour Recordings, and is one of the UK’s most vocal supporters of the Detroit sound and all that is raw and soulful in electronic music. His rich and emotive releases have earned him critical acclaim with DJs and the music press worldwide, drawing praise and support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, DJ 3000, UR, Shake, Dan Curtin, Octave One and many more. A DJ for ten years, his mixing takes him regularly to clubs across Europe. Playing with an energetic, cut-up and yet always fluid style, Matt has built a reputation with those who know as one of the most exuberant and passionate performers on the circuit. He is also responsible for London’s ‘Flashpoint’ series of underground parties, which have hosted the likes of Fabrice Lig, Vince Watson, Shawn Rudiman and Arne Weinberg amongst others. In 2006 he played his first live sets, debuting at a special Underground Resistance party in London alongside his heroes UR and following up with other dates across Europe.
