BIOGRAPHY Maeximilian™

Thanks to massive influence from early childhood jazz listing session and first start off steps at the DJ Decks as a youngster, Maeximilan felt himself always related to music. Especially pressed on vinyl.

The strong Influence from Zurich's afterhour marathon rhythms almost five years ago happend to be the final kick-off for a special time and manner to play records. Far away from primetime crowd expectations, in the early morning. Music for adept listeners.

Based in Vienna, but later on spoiled in Berlin, Maeximilian nowadays not only plays music. He purifies it. Possibly the reason why recorded mixes from him are that rare. They appear well selected or not all. Always to be understood as a contemporary mirror of organic techno. His preferred electronic music must sound like really played, not only looped. One that simply spoken grooves in a very authentic way.

The big chance for serious producing work occured in 2005 with moving to Vienna together with Thomas Buchacher by founding the Eisler Studios. An own label and platform to share a huge pool of devices and ideas. The result of this time are some few releases that are still secret weapons in Maeximilian's record bag for moving sets. Just like this summer at the Spring Festival in Graz, actully Austrias might most important one for electronic music.

Due to the close relationship to Vienna's infamous Wurstsalon party series, Maeximilian tests his vinyl regularly on a fastidious crowd. His right taste for a proper track selection combined with a very own signature has itselfed already proven at gigs not only in Vienna, but also Berlin and all around Lake Constance, where he supported amongst others acts like Jeff Samuels, Sebo K., GummiHz, Matthew Stylez, Format B. or Franklin De Costa.

Now working together with Einweg Records, Maeximilian strongly supports the start up of the Viennese edition from Barcelona's well known and numberous as precious raum parties. Top bookings (like Axel Bartsch for the opening) combined with stunning visual and conceptual artwork all around this periodical events are already seen as great new enrichment for the otherwise slightly uninspired electronic scene.
