sonstiges	TJ HICKS: TJ Hicks is acknowledged as one of the smoothest electronic DJ's from the United States. Being based in San Francisco, CA he performed in venues that have hosted events with many of the worlds greatest DJs and Artists. Over the past decade, he has been invited to events across America, Austria, Bahrain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the UK to perform his unique mix of underground techno and soulful house music. His sound has gained recognition as a rare performance of impeccable and true audio mixing skill. In 1997, he landed his first European DJ gigs at one-offs and pirate-radio slots throughout London. Returning the very next year to play alongside Gene Farris, ADJ, Dave Mothersole and to play in one of London’s most underground venues, The Drome! Following his travels to the UK, he was invited to France two years in a row to play at the Monastery alongside Soma, Analogique and Outside Recording artists where artists such as Swayzak, ADJ, Jeff Nagel, Bryan Zentz aka Barada, Seth Krause, Funk d' Void, John Tejada aka Lucid Dreams, Common Factor and Transparent Sound have recorded. During the next two years, TJ continued to have a successful running residency with Mythos Club, Joy for Life, Foundation and last but not least Hausjam events as well as the ‘Innovator’ event for Derrick May in Charlotte, North Carolina USA. Events and Club parties included artists Kenny Larkin, Oliver Long, Danny Tenaglia, DJ Chang, Roger Sanchez, Alan Oldham aka DJ T1000, Tim Baker, ADJ, Murat, Dave Mothersole, Frankie Knuckles, Little Louie Vega, DJ Disciple, Nik and James Fedele, Digs and Woosh, Dave Gibson, Jeff Nagel, Kris Krause, Mark Farina, James Thomason, Sundiatta O.M., Karl Injex, Doc Martin, Garth, Tom Kelly, Jam and Spoon, Grindle, Dubtribe, Jon Williams from Organised Noise, Activ-Analog, Jamaul Redmond and many other world wide talented producers and DJ´s. The year came for him to move forward with his multi grained ability which led him to a new residence in San Francisco, CA. in 2001. After obtaining acknowledgement for his impeccable mixing ability by like minded individuals, he began to land gigs throughout San Francisco, outside of his "deep south" residency which he held along with a 3 Degrees, Devotion and SF favorite DJ Chang and being booked with one of San Francisco most underground locations (Club Six) for tip-top international talent and being a part of a series of events named “ASSBOMB” that included Larry Heard, Carl Craig, Juan Atkins, Jonah Sharp aka Spacetime Continuum, Blaktroniks, Mixmaster Morris from Ninja Tune and Radio-Active Man. Pursuing his way forward in 2002 with his love for deep electronic music, he landed his first DJ gig in Germany at the Tankhaus, Stavenhagen, Headlining alongside Dave DK from Tresor Club, Berlin. This same year, he was invited to Osaka, Japan to play at Spyral along with many other great world-wide talented artists. In 2003 he returned to Japan to rock Tokyo´s oldest dance club, the World Famous Club Yellow, Madam Carras and Coqdo Records. He rocked a Mediterranean Sea beach party in Italy, The Sunset Club in Manama, Bahrain, Tunnel crowd of Linz, Austria, The Rauch Club in Feldkirch, Rosenball Annual event at Club U4, Vienna's oldest dance club and the La baum de luxe radio show on FM4 in Vienna, Austria. In 2004, he rocked Flex in Vienna, Austria with a perfect set of deep detroit techno and house. His label - Minimalsoul - stay tuned... tracks by jamaul redmond, jon williams, oliver long, tim baker, bto spider, theneybuzz! Minimalsoul, being his latest project - an umbrella organization that includes a record label and event production.
