Bio Exercise One:

The duo Exercise One has established its name as a most energetic live-act and in the meantime they’ve made many crowds move. At home the two beat wizards “M Freebird” and “Gansera” quickly gained a good reputation and consequently they managed to jump the borders of the Berlin Hinterland and are slowly ripping up international dance-floors. For sure it was helpful that they backed their convincing live performence with a series of critically acclaimed releases. After launching their own imprint „Lan Muzic“ with friend and studio mate „Memo“ they have also been signed up by the steadily uprising „Mobilee“ camp. First remix works have also been completed (e.g. for Dumb-Unit) and so the guns are loaded for the near future.
Both M.Freebird and Gansera have their musical backround in heavy duty guitar music but met each other celebrating the virtues of electronic music at the turn of the millenium. Both got picked up by the techno wave earlier but decided then to warp their musical skills into the sound they were enjoying. But coming from a different angle the live-set was always the core of the project. Untypical for most producers or projects these guys had a full live-set and a number of gigs before they ever considered releasing a 12“.
Infiltrated by their hometown Berlin they have an affinity to a minimal approach but are always driven to more massiv elements to define their musical vision. There is always an aspect of genuine techno in their tracks but they weave it in nicely, so it can still fit in at any time of the day…

finds auch schade, dass es keine live visuals gibt.....hab gehofft, die lichterloh-jungs wären wieder am start. aber wie ich gehört hab, happerts da am zahlungswillen für visualisten von flex-seite her.
finds echt bedauernswert, dass so mancher noch immer nicht kapiert hat, dass gute visuals -wenn auch für manche nur unbewusst- zu einer guten party sehr viel beitragen!!!!!!

und so viel ich weiters weiss, haben die lichterlohs z.B nicht DIE grossen gagen.#

Freu mich dennoch voll auf den heutigen abend.....und auch auf die birth-day feierei!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
