DARK SOHO Dark Soho is a unique fusion of heavy metal, goth and full on psychedelic trance. With extensive releases on psytrance compilations on Alchemy, Sphere and Hom-mega Records, Dark Soho have a reputation for ecstatic and energetic live shows which stand out next to many other live trance acts with their heavy guitar laden riffs and symphonic sound on stage. They have two albums out, Sun Spot, 2000 (on BNE and Sphere) and Combustion, 2002 which is an Alchemy release. They have recently collaborated with the world famous sitar virtuoso, Anushka Shankar. The new album Light in the Dark has taken Dark Soho in a new direction, winning them new fans with their original full on sound. APHIDMOON Aphid Moon is the Solo project of producer and Dj Jules Hamer. With couple of Aphid Moon releases before the millenium he has continued with a successive string of releases on virtually all the British psy-trance labels as well a few notable foreign labels. His first solo album"High Diver" was released on Dragonfly Records in 2003 a deep night time sound with a distinctly british trance twist. With the help of the insane software revolution Jules has steadily been developing his own unique style; playing DJ & live sets in Japan, Israel, S.A., Brazil, Europe and the U.K over and underground. Last year 2005 saw the birth of his new full-on incarnation with the release of his second solo Aphid Moon album "Global Culture" on Anglo/South African label Nano Records. Packed with fresh energy, production and infectious dance grooves its been the business on big outdoor systems and Club systems alike. In 2006 Jules has been hard at work in the studio with Dick Trevor putting the final touches to the new A.M.D. album (a fullon psy-bonanza) scheduled a little later this year on Nano Rec. |
