Gewinnspiel: 3 x 2 Karten HIGHFISH Highfish, aka Marcin Öz (Berlin), has been a resident at Berlin's WMF Club since 1997, and long time resident at Cookies. He has also participated in the creative programming for both clubs. In 1999 he co-founded WMF Records and compiled its first CD compilation, "Nighteffect". In the tour that followed, the WMF sound was exported to dance floors across Germany and Europe. Since then, Nighteffect has become a WMF sub-label. With A&R headed up by Highfish himself, the label is firmly establishing itself in the minimal house genre. For the second "Nighteffect" compilation in 2001, Highfish commissioned 14 exclusive tracks from internationally acclaimed producers including Beroshima, Martini Brös and T. Raumschmiere, to create both a mix CD and two 4-track EPs. The following tour finally gave Marcin his place as a DJ among clubs and fesivals worldwide. In 2002, Highfish was one of the first dance floor DJs to exchange his turntables for Ableton's "Live" software in his DJ sets.His "Live" gigs with Jacek Sienkiewicz, Jackmate and Richard Bartz are legendary. Today, Highfish may be heard playing from either medium. |
