TERJE BAKKE: Hailing from the second largest city in Norway, Terje Bakke has currently been making waves with some mystical, hypnotic and melodic deep house. The baby-faced Norwegian may be young, but his approach to both production and Djing conveys a considered maturity well beyond his years. As passionate about the power of melody and repetition as he is about modern grooves and basslines, Terje uses his records to tell stories, selecting tracks not for their individual appeal, but based in their position within a wider narrative. Cryptic thought this may sound , it’s a style that grips hard when experienced first-hand on the floor. ALEXANDER SKANCKE Alexander Skancke is a young talented Norwegian currently living in Budapest, who’s making waves on the Juno bestselling charts with his unique take on the deeper end of electronic music. He has been finding form of late on his string of releases with a distinctive take on glitchy micro house. His latest Borg EP is inspired by the stunning nature of Iceland clashing with "Reykjavik´s" busy nightlife. Filled with field-recordings, noises and warm textures. |
