Phokus

Growing up in a suburb of Hamburg, Phokus played drums in different Punk bands before he started DJing and producing. When his family bought their first computer he immediately started experimenting with audio proggis and made his first steps into electronic music. Soon he started producing beat and bass heavy tunes and became very interested in Jungle and Drum & Bass. This is when he started DJing and buying records. In 2001 his last band broke up and he completely focused on producing electronic music, mainly Drum & Bass but also Garage, Breakbeat and HipHopBeats. At that time he moved into the centre of Hamburg and linked up with the local Drum & Bass scene.
In 2004 Phokus heard Grime and Dubstep for the first time as he was listening to internet radio shows and immediately got taken.. From that moment he was infected by the sound and started producing his own grime & dubstep tunes.
In 2006 he released his first 12’’ on MG77 Recordings titled “Dem All Shot/Danger” featuring Tinchy Stryder and Dirty Danger (Ruff Sqwuad).
Phokus plays out DJsets in germany and europe and played lgs.: Kode9, Mala, Coki, Hijak, Rusko, The Bug, Skream, Headhunter, Joker, Forsaken, Pinch, N-Type, Luke Envoy,Jazzsteppa, Milanese, MC Ears, Tes La Rok and many more…
He is released on: Scrub A Dub, MG77, Police In Helicopter, SPB, Raboisen, Lado.

Die siebenköpfige Band aus dem Raum Graz macht eine Mischung aus Roots-Rock-Reggae-Dub mit verschiedenen afrikanischen und lateinamerikanischen Einflüssen.
Mit Musik der positiven Art füllen sie die Tanzflächen und bringen gute Laune mit, die jedem ein Lächeln schenkt.

so einige änderungen hats gegeben, die niesenberger hat den unteren floor voll fein vergrößert.
desswegen wird das kayanauts-konzert jetzt unten stattfinden, ab 22:00 nicht schon um 20:00!!

so und noch ein paar details zu unserem wiener special guest:

Dj Se.Vero

Se.Vero started spinning records as a child in 1982 with the magical all-style collection of his father, as a Dj with two decks in 2000. Intermediately he played the piano for more than 10 years, flutes, drums & percussion next to bonfires, playing until his hands were bleeding, and still going on..., dancing his ass off all night long at partys and raves, and also singing as a tenor in a classical choir.

While spinning Nu Jazz, Downbeat, Funky HipHop, Dub and percussive House music for a while at private parties, Se.Vero fell in love with the heavy, fast breaks of Jungle / DnB.

2003-2005 he co-organized a first successfull event series called "Bassisound" in Vienna, renowned guests like Aphrodite, Mickey Finn or Adam F played there.

At the same time he acted out his passion for writing about music and arranging words for the first time - as an editor and journalist for VOLUME, an online music magazine based in Vienna.

2006 Se.Vero started to organize the 2nd (DJ / Electronic) floor of the beneficial 3-days festival "BOCKMAS " (visit : http://www.bockmas.at), compiling the lineup, and hosting the whole dj area there.

In the same year he joined the crew of RESIDENT Magazine (visit: http://www.resident.at) , the only print mag for DnB and heavy bass music in german language at that time. He did a series of articles about other bass music styles besides drumnbass (like Grime, Dubstep, NuSkoolBreaks, ...), and also wrote for the review section, as well as spinning records at all the RESIDENT parties.

After 12 issues Resident (now R.I.P.) stopped publishing the print magazine end of 2008, but we still do irregular parties in Vienna and have the "Resident Radio Show" at www.play.fm .

Then Se.Vero met Selecta Rak3te again in the end of 2008 (after spinning together in the past and accidently not seeing each other for years). Rak3te is the head promoter of "KLUB SIR3NE" (visit: http://www.myspace.com/klubsir3ne), so there was no need for long considering that Se.Vero joined the crew with Dj Odd, Rak3te and Miss Sir3ne.

2009 - 2010 Klub Sir3ne hosted events at Fluc Wanne, Vienna with french live dub band "High Tone", german "Jahtari Riddim Force" and "Waddada" alongside MC Soom T, "Mungos Hifi" from Scotland, Bulldogs from Berlin / Germany and forthcoming Joker (Hyperdub, Bristol / UK).

We also do a radio show @ PLAY.FM (visit: http://www.play.fm) called RADIO SIR3NE (every 4th thursday of the month, 18:00-20:00 MEZ), + are currently starting a new Dubstep - Party called "RAW" - monthly dubstep thursdays @ Fluc Wanne (visit: http://www.myspace.com/rawdubstep or http://www.facebook.com/rawdubstep) together with BedaRanX from Nattyloop Hifi and Koe + Jay-S from Dubroom.
