Compiling CDs since 1997, producing music with friends since 1999. It began with funk&jazz, disco to brasil, ethno, dub, 70´s german electronics, ambient, house, techno & trance .... till today Point of interest at the moment: uptempo fusionmusic with jazzy funky tunes, electro-techhouse-nu breakz-bootyhouse with groovy hooks & asskicking fat drums, also still hooked on playing psytrance/progressive house & oldschool jazz&funk&soul, funky´n jazzy downtempogrooves,… - various influenced music, different worlds indeed, but very close together - and all combinations are possible today - some of them we even haven´t dreamed of.... Interesting things in the world of music soon to come......... i always try to find the right sound for the location & the people & the mood of the event - thats what i think a dj should take care of with his sets .... the selection & combination & mixing of music create the vibes of an evening At least people will always need selectors .... At the tender age of 9 he sales Mixtapes at School.Even as a Teenager he was showing huge Interest for Hip-Hop and Breakdance,he started to hang out with the Guys from the Group called "Dynamic Skills" and learn his first Breakdance Steps. In 1997 he is getting interest for Electronic Music.He began to play Pumping-Tech-House,but during the next two years his Style change to Progressive-House.Moreover,he spending a lot of time and Money in getting New Records so we can say him to be areal Vinyl-Freak!Exellent mixing and a good taste for Music are the Reasons that Ray McPhoney is one of the Finest DJ's in Vienna. The List of Party's where Ray is playing is long and contains all the Importent Names of Vienna's Progressive Movement: Psychic-Reaction,Departure,Green Open Air Festival,Amnesia,Flex,Wuk,Sub-Zero,U4,Volksgarten,P1 etc. In 2005 Ray is starting as a Producer...Nowadays his Tracks are played by SANDER KLEINENBERG,DJ TARKAN,PAOLO MOJO,NIKOLA In 2007 Ray starts his own Show called "PHONEYMATICS" on www.play.fm which is one of the biggest Internet Radios in Europa.
