Until late 2004, Bulletproof were known as a production duo hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, consisting of Jay Cyanide (Known throughout New Zealand as Pots) and former production partner Josh Lees, until the pair decided to go their separate ways. Over the past 7 years the name "Bulletproof " has stood for nothing less than the very finest in explosive, futuristic Neurofunk and dance floor Drum and Bass. During this time, Jay released works on some of the scenes leading labels. The list includes the likes of BC, Square One, Renegade Hardware, Moving Shadow, Commercial Suicide, 1210 Recordings, Renegade Recordings, TOV, Red-light Recordings, Industry Recordings, CIA Recordings, Critical Recordings, and more recently, Project51 recordings, Citrus and Synrome Recordings. Not content with simply Producing and releasing his music on well known UK labels, Bulletproof formed Cyanide Recordings. Today, Cyanide is the platform which Bulletproof uses to release His own music, as well as new projects and collaborations featuring some of the scenes rising stars,and also some of the scenes most accomplished Drum & Bass producers. in april 2007, after 7 years of producing drum n bass. and with the help of long time friends and Uprising Recordings head honcho's Concord Dawn, Bulletproof has compiled his first Album,"SHAKE THE FOUNDATIONS" on Uprising. The album is a journey through some of the finest moments in Bulletproof's career, chronologicaly mapping Bulletproofs rise to become one of the most respected international NeuroFunk and dancefloor artists in drum n bass. 2007 Has seen a major step up in the global demand for Bulletproof, Having already completed a tour of North America and Australasia this year, and spending most of his weekends djing in clubs around his home country of New Zealand. Now Bulletproof is ready to unleash on the European massive with an extensive Eu tour locked in for september 2007. But for jay, maintaining his heavy production schedule in 07' will be his main focus.
