(sfp records / melody farm / miami, usa) With almost two decades of experience on the turntables, it has been in the last six years that J.P. Rigaud gained worldwide recognition. Unsatisfied with the musical growth in Miami Beach during the early 90s he decided to take matters into his own hands. He opened Zanzibar, one of the first venues on the beach to host the worlds top drum & bass DJs. There J.P. created the first successful weekly drum and bass night in Miami Beach and a pulsing underground music scene. Always on the up and coming with electronic music, he found a way to introduce different genres of sounds to a once wasteland of musical taste through his venue. Whether spinning or hosting new acts, J.P. always found a way to keep the music original, alive & flowing. His creativity, love and enthusiasm for new music have contributed to the evolution of electronic music on the South Beach scene. This passion leads him around the globe and while djing in Europe he saw the emerging popularity of downbeat and the lounge trend. J.P. brought these sounds and vibe back to South Beach and this time introducing it to such venues as Bash, Nikki Beach Club and People Lounge. J.P. Rigaud became the resident DJ of Nikki Beach Club, the infamous venue, known as the first European style beach club in the U.S. There he found his niche for almost three years and perfected his new sound for the masses. Once again turning the Miami party scene on its ear through his avant-garde sound. JP is credited with bridging the lounge trend to Miami and as a result Nikki Beach success. In an eight-hour marathon of emotions, J.P. took his audience on a journey from chill -out, new jazz, broken beat to the sounds of deep, bossa, latin house and house. After succumbing to a weekend of ear burning trance and commercial house, South Beach club goers found their sanctuary. This Sunday musical love session at Nikki Beach would become a global party destination thanks to his musical innovation. In the 2001 season, he found himself in great demand in many S.O.B.E hot spots such as Bash, Rumi Supper Club, Opium Garden, Club Spin (sister venue to Club Space), Living Room, Bed, Kiss and Touch Supper Club. In addition to spinning at Touch and Kiss, he was also the Music Director. 2002 to 2005 was no different, JP held residencies at various venues in Miami including the Sunday Soiree party at the Raleigh Hotel, voted the sexiest night in town. This gathering takes place around one of the most beautiful pools in Miami Beach. First gigs in Austria went hand in hand with DisasZts next step in his career, becoming a member of the legendary Bass Infection-Crew. In 2001 Disaszt started producing his own tunes and had his first release on the Austrian Drum&Bass-Compilation with a track called Get it on. In mid of 2002 Disaszt started to run a monthly Drum&Bass-club called Mainframe. So far DisasZts Drum&Bass Clubs are one of the biggest and well visited Drum&Bass Parties in whole Austria. Her "first contact" to drum and bass was at the flex (vienna), during the "beat it" parties. After this experience she wanted to get deeper into the science of drum and bass. She starts hearing different styles and artists like aphrodite, black sun empire, ill.skillz or tech itch. In summer 2005 she met her boyfriend chris (alias obs.neurosis) at a beat it party. Influenced by him and her favorite dj' s she started djing in the same year. She was very fast in learning beatmatching, and getting the feeling for the music. Early 2006 she was one of 4 winners of a dj competition hosted by "rasselbande & primetime" crew. She' s always searching for new styles and unknown artists. She loves the dark & sick drum and bass sound, and she works on her skillz every free minute... Dorian Pearce (club 7) Der gebürtige Wiener Dorian Pearce ist seit Anfang 2003 Mitglied des Österreichischen Veranstalter- und Kulturlabels "Club7 Entertainment" (www.club7.cc) und bereichert dieses seither mit seinem Esprit und seiner veranstalutngstechnischen Power.
