sonstiges Seit einigen Wochen ist der Prater um eine Attraktion mit der Lizenz zum Abheben reicher: Die Clubs departure, phonoton und Vortex haben sich nämlich zusammengetan und zeigen mit Hilfe der Gemeinschaftsparty „Green", wie das Sommerloch optimalerweise gefüllt gehört. Jeden Samstag wird ab 22:00 Uhr das Planetarium am Praterstern unter vereinten Kräften in ein elektronisches Paradies verwandelt und Musikliebhabern ein Trip quer durch verschiedene Stile elektronischer Musik von Electro House bis Progressive geboten, performed wird das Ganze von drei lokalen Top-DJs pro Nacht.

Im Juli stehen u.a. nationale Größen wie Karl Möstl, Sai Bernard, M.Moll oder Ron Doe hinter den Turntables und bringen gemeinsam mit Visual-Artists psychoaktive Eindrücke unter das Partyvolk. Aber auch die weniger Tanzwütigen kommen bei „Green" voll auf ihre Kosten, denn es steht zusätzlich zum Indoor-Floor eine große Open-Air-Relaxzone mit Liegestühlen, bequemen Sofas und direktem Blick auf das Riesenrad bereit. Und damit auch der letzte Macho zum unverbesserlichen Romantiker avanciert, werden der Kuppelsaal und sein Sternenzelt bis 4:00 Uhr morgens für alle Party-Besucher zugänglich sein.

There's way to much to put into a Mr.C biography so we'll keep it short!

Richard West aka Mr.C was born in London & is a keen Chelsea fan.

He started MCing around the London clubs at 16 (1982) & soon earned a reputation as a fast talking vivacious rapper working with LWR radio's Ron Tom, Jasper the Vinyl Junkie & Jazzy M. In 1986 Mr.C hooked up with Colin Faver & Evil Eddie Richards & became resident rapper at Camden Palace going on to MC for Colin Faver on the then illegal Kiss FM & going into the studio to record with Eddie Richards as Myster-E in 1987. This inspired Mr.C to become a DJ to learn more about his beloved House & Techno music so in late '87 Richard took to the decks.

Mr.C has organised, promoted & been resident dj of countless events in & around the capital since he entered into the music industry in 1987 & has since opened The End night club in December 1995 with partner Layo.
Mr.C is best known for his pop exploits as popster with the Shamen notching up 10 top 20 hits including number 1 hit "Ebeneezer Goode" but is also founder & owner of Plink Plonk records & cofounder of End Rec. & currently records under the names: Mr.C, Sycophant Slag's (With Francis Harris of Matter://form NYC), Mr.C & 16B & Killer Loop (With End partner Layo) & has also recorded under the names Myster-E, Nu Jacks, Bass Bureau, The Shamen, Mantrac, Somnambulist & Animus Amor. He's currently recording on Sexonwax, End rec. & his new imprint Superfreq records which specialises in Electronic House & Acid House.

Mr.C also runs & promotes Superfreq events which also specialises in his musical style of Electro House & Acid House & happens on the 2nd Saturday of every month at The End where it's been running for 2 years after replacing the seminal tech house night Subterrain. Superfreq has accomplished 2 successful seasons at Underground, Ibiza & has recently completed it's 2nd tour of South America as well as doing regular events with Made Events in NYC & 1 off shows around Europe including Italy, Holland, Belgium, Lithuania, Greece, Latvia & Russia to name but a few places.

Mr.C's screen experience includes apart from countless TV appearances in both interviews & performances with The Shamen presenting for MTV (Party Zone) & MTV Dance (covering festivals such as Homelands, Creamfields & Winter Music Conference in Miami). Mr.C has also presented world wide clubbing for BBC & played a major part in the critically acclaimed "Joy of decks" series as well as appearing as himself in the movie "Club Le Monde".

About Mr. C`s latest CD Compilation "Superfreq Express London - Ibiza return":

It has been 7 years since Mr.C last released a mix CD (Subterrain 100% Unreleased on End Recordings) but it has been thoroughly worth the wait with the release of 'Superfreq Express' to celebrate 20 years of him DJing at the highest level.

Superfreq is the brainchild of Mr.C who wanted to build a club night that was a little different to his Subterrain nights which ran for 7 years as the most successful night at The End. This meant creating a party that was to be more glamorous, more fun, not so serious musically & yet still retained that cutting edge sensibility & still looked towards moving forward with sound. His idea was to keep the underground tech house groove & attitude as well as make the music more electronic, more twisted & a little more stripped back, allowing the sounds to create a dynamic that would make a difference on the dance floor.

So, 4 years ago in February 2003 Superfreq was launched as a monthly club night at The End replacing Subterrain taking influence from the growing underground scene in Ibiza. This continued for 3 years untimoving to a weekly slot upstairs in AKA. This move was intended to create a Superfreq community in London in the same way it did in Ibiza by doing 3 hugely successful seasons every Wednesday night at Club Underground. By switching to weekly it would create a family type atmosphere where you could feel the sense of community in the crowd and a sense of knowing & belonging. Superfreq at AKA has been a huge success filling the space on Sundays week in week out with a clued up, dressed up crowd that had been looking for an escape from the Saturday night masses & because of Superfreq, Sunday night clubbing in London has never been the same.

Superfreq has just made another move, this time back downstairs to The End where it can continue to grow & evolve on a weekly basis. It's still every Sunday but now in an altogether different space that is darker, louder & obviously more clubby allowing Superfreq to strive to reach it's true potential as a club night. Superfreq will continue to be resided weekly by Mr.C & Dollz At Play with regular guest spots from Superfreq Records co-owner Luke vB and label artists. Superfreq will also continue to supply you with the very best DJs from the electronic world as it has done over the past year in AKA.

Superfreq has just finished its 4th annual tour of Latin America & is now embarking on the Superfreq Express CD tour that will see Superfreq & Mr.C hitting various spots in the UK, North America, Europe & one off of shows in Russia & Dubai. Coming to a city near you soon.

Superfreq Records was launched in February 2005 with the Mr.C EP Disco 2 disco / Underground to The End. Since then the releases have been few but steady, always releasing the finest quality electro tech house, minimal house & acid. 2 years & 8 EP releases later, now is the time to kick Superfreq Records into second gear by uping the release schedule to an EP release per month & bringing out its first CD, Superfreq Express (London - Ibiza return).

With this CD Mr.C delivers what is a true reflection of both his sets at the club night & the sound of the label with the music ranging from deep off beat electronic house to trippy minimal textures to solid electro beats to modern acid & electronic techno. This mix features productions from Mr.C himself, Tigerskin, Adultnapper, Ralph Sliwinski, Alexi Delano, Fuckpony, Bushwacka!, James What, Dan Berkson, Apendics Shuffle, Alfa Romero, Don & Tom, Hijacker & Stick, Reverse Commuter & of course the Sycophant Slag's.

As none of these tracks were released when putting this mix together Mr.C was unable to use his prefered format of vinyl to mix this CD. Instead, in Omid 16B's studio with Omid engineering, he used the Pioneer DJM800 with it's midi interface to control Abbleton Live. This allowed him to assign each track to an individual key on the computer keyboard to trigger each track & to then mix it on the Pioneer as if he were spinning a normal DJ set. This technique gave Mr.C the live DJ feel that he required to make this CD sound like a true DJ mix & not like just a bunch of tracks edited together. The mix was then sent to New York to be mastered by Alexi Delano giving us a rich, warm & extremely inviting final sound.

Wer wollte denn nicht immer schon einmal seine eigenen Tracks auf der Bühne präsentieren, oder hat den DJ verflucht, was er da nicht hinter seinem Pult fabriziert.... An diesem Tag hat jeder die Chance auch mal auf die andere Seite zu blicken...

sonstiges Endlich geht es wieder los, und es wird ein ganz besonderer Sommer werden, denn wir feiern in der Zwischenzeit unser 5 - jähriges Love Boat Jubiläum!

An insgesamt 4 Terminen im Juli und August stechen wr wieder in See, um auf dem Flagschiff der DDSG, der MS Admiral Tegetthoff, eine der genialsten Partys Österreichs zu feiern!

Warum diese Partys so außergewöhnlich sind, weiß jeder der schon einmal mit war! Wo sonst, kann man mitten in der Stadt, auf einem derart großen Schiff, noch dazu fahrend auf der Donau, eine Open Air Party steigen lassen und dabei derart Vollgas geben?! Und dann noch die einzigartige Stimmung der Crowd an Bord :-)

Aufgrund einiger Neuerungen konnten wir außerdem die Eintrittspreise drastisch senken, und somit ksoten die VVK - Tickets nur noch 15.- Euro und die Abendkassa Tickets 18.- Euro! Das sollte vielen auch die Überlegung erleichtern bei ncht so gutem Wetter trotzdem mitzufahren! Auch bei schlechtem Wetter ist, aufgrund des überdachten Freidecks und des großen Innenfloors eine geniale Party garantiert!

Natürlich geben sich wie imer auch jede Menge internationale Gast - Dj's die Ehre bei uns, hat es sich auch schon im Ausland herumgesprochen, wie cool diese Partys sind und viele Dj's bieten sich bereits von selbst an, um mit dabei zu sein!

Specials/Infos Wer glaubt Disco war irgendwann in den 1970ern, der hat allerdings was versäumt. Den Beweis dafür tritt der Wiener DJ Van Elst in der Sommer-Edition des Club Elux an. Van Elst ist für seine außergewöhnlich riesige und wohlsortierte Plattenauswahl an Disco Platten bekannt. Der 31 Jährige Wiener mit belgischen Wurzeln vermischt in seinen ungewöhnlichen Sets - das Erbe des frühen Disco und Cosmic mit neuen Electro und selten gehörten Re-Edits. Wer Van Elst noch nicht in den Wiener Clubs Flex, FlucWanne oder dem Schickaneder gehört hat, der hat heute seine Chance. Für viele musikalisch angenehme Überraschungen wird gesorgt.
