Jeden Freitag ab August 2006 lädt das Hi-Fi-Tanzcafe ein, um zu abendlicher Stunde (18:00 bis 01:00) das Tanzbein zu moderner und klassischer elektronischer DJ-Tanzmusik mit Herz und Seele zu schwingen. Als passende Location dient das Cafe Galileo im grünen Innenhof der alten Technischen Universität, ein Glas/Stahl-Würfel-Wurf des Grazer Stararchitekten Domenig. Lessingstrasse 25, fünf Minuten von der Oper, siehe Anfahrtsskizze bei den Pics. Gastgeber und Resident DJ ist der Neu-Grazer Elektronik-Internationalist Clemens Neufeld, Verstärkung bekommt er jede Woche von wechselnden lokalen Soundaktivisten und Vinyl-Artisten. Das DJ-Lineup zielt ab auf Förderung und Integration der lokalen Szene. Geboten wird Qualitäts-Herzblutmusik ohne Scheuklappen und jenseits jeglicher Eingleisigkeiten, dargebracht von lokalen DJs, die in hiesigen Clubs die Main-Hour rocken, welche hiermit um einige Stunden vom frühen Morgen in den frühen Abend gerückt wird! sonstiges	Back in the late 80's under the name "DJ Plainterror", GE-OLOGY was once the DJ/producer of a four member group "Born Busy" including high school friend, the legendary Tupac Shakur "MC New York"... uniquely cementing him historically as the only producer privileged to record Pac's very first and earliest recordings. And in the early 90's he co-founded the infamous "Dooable Arts" with Matt Reid aka "Matt Doo", through which he first made his mark. Since then he's become synonymously known for album cover art, T-shirt graphics, magazine illustrations and collaborative mural paintings with his fellow Barnstormers crew (a famed artist collective created by Davd Ellis aka SKWERM), as much as he's known for producing tracks with the likes of Mos Def, Vinia Mojica, Talib Kweli, Sadat X, Pharoahe Monch, Jem, Mystic or his remixes for Pete Rock & Grand Agent. Boasting international acclaim, one of his most recognized paintings is the Rawkus classic "Body Rock" cover featuring Mos Def, Q-Tip and Tash from Tha Alkaholiks (featured in Andrew Emery's "The Book of Hip Hop Cover Art" and listed at #3 in "EgoTrip's Book of Rap List" 25 Great EP, 12" & CD Single Covers section). But to truly understand GE-OLOGY, one must not underestimate his influence, depth and versatility. Embracing the sacred principles and wisdom of great masters yet challenging convention with youthful rebellion, GE-OLOGY's instinctual balance is somewhat of an anomaly in today's clone driven mass-produced digitized society. His recognizable identity through sound, vision and consistency hasn't gone unnoticed, thus resulting in a steady stream of exposure in numerous magazines such as XLR8R, The Fader, Frank 151, Style and Urb; cable network staple MTV News "You Hear It First"; and creative involvement in projects with international corporate giants such as Sweden's Hennes & Mauritz (H&M stores) and the prestigious French cognac maker Hennessy. Though creatively venturing from the street level to infiltrating the creative commercial world, GE-OLOGY has never wavered from keeping his craft responsibly honest to the delight of longtime supporters... always maintaining his creative integrity. As evident in the barrage of fan mail from his international core audience, GE-OLOGY continues to open eyes... and this is only the beginning. More exclusively, the GE-OLOGY name is somewhat of a boutique brand equally respected in music and visual art. He was chosen from a handful of artist/celebrities to individually hand paint sneakers for a private New York exhibition launching the widely displayed K-Swiss campaign. He's one of seven artists chosen to collectively paint outdoor murals and model for the Barnstormers featured H&M advertising blitz. Painting duties for the collective included: a house in the Pasadena hills, a floating midsize boat, a car, canvases, skateboards, a performance stage, etc. Further recognition of his talent lead to expand the campaign's concept to include a 6-song GE-OLOGY music sampler (H&M presents GE-OLOGY, "Nomadic Disorientation") in conjunction with the H&M/Barnstormer print ads. All of which were launched by a media-frenzied SoHo gallery opening and month long exhibition, "Billboards", in which he and many other recognized artists collaboratively resurfaced two 50 ft. life-size billboard reproductions from earlier Barnstormer painted barns and a full-size 18 wheeler truck. The exhibition served as a fundraiser for the non-profit youth organization "Art Start" and gave the artists a unique opportunity to interact and paint with the kids, who collaborated on some of the gallery paintings as well. In addition, H&M's website featured 3 looped GE-OLOGY instrumentals, 2 video trailers scored with his music and a page featuring him and each of the six other Barnstormer artists from the campaign. Currently, he's on the verge of setting up his first international solo art show, releasing his first full-length LP, a coffee table art book, a mix CD and working with a collage of artists and sound palettes that span the spectrum beyond categorized limitations. Redefining sound and space, contrast, hue and texture... that is GE-OLOGY... complex, simplistic, versatile, intricate. We expect to unveil his musical production with artists such as Jill Scott and De La Soul as well as an eclectic array of new material ranging from Brooklyn bred Hip-Hop artist/actor Mos Def to G?org Sweden's own bright new talent Yukimi Nagano (Koop), Germany's Max Herre (Freundeskreis) featuring Philly native Vikter Duplaix (Axis Music Group) and totally from the left... Dave Matthew's ATO Records' shining star Jem, the Welsh singer/ songwriter who co-wrote Madonna's "Nothing Fails" single, and whose debut LP "Finally Woken" has virtually infiltrated TV networks' hottest shows such as Desperate Housewives, The OC, Crossing Jordon, CSI Miami, Las Vegas, just to name a few (and the album hasn't even been out a year yet). Not to mention, Hollywood film trailers (e.g. "Closer," starring Julia Roberts), TV ads, talk show performances, a Dave Matthews tour, radio airplay and the debut music video that all features GE-OLOGY's music (who co-wrote & produced three standout songs on her album, including the first single "They"). As quoted by writer Hua Hsu in Urb Magazine's 9th annual Next 100 issue, GE-OLOGY's "on the cusp of something seismic". Brace yourself!

Vielleicht beginnen in 2,3 Jahren wieder alle zu jammern, dass sich angeblich niemand dazu aufgerafft hat, in Wien die Musik auf den Boden zu bringen, die überall sonst "THE hot shit" ist. Naja, das soll jetzt nicht bitter klingen, schließlich folgen ja genug brave Musik- und Party-Enthusiasten unserem monatlichen Ruf in den WIRR UNTERGRUND. Aber dass uns ja nur keine Klagen kommen, sollte man die eine oder andere DRR-Party verpasst haben. Spezialgast ist diesmal - ta-dah! - RAINER KLANG, sicher einer der besten DJs der Stadt: Rainer Klang legt seit Anfang der 90iger Jahre auf, organisiert Parties, sammelt Platten und hat in diesem Zeitraum zusammen mit der Klein-Records Crew in zahlreichen europäischen Städten gespielt. 2002 begleitete er als Dj etwa die Sofa Surfers auf ihrer Europatour. Er war bis zum Ende der Veranstaltungen in der Wiener Meierei Resident-DJ beim Klein Social Club mit so unterschiedlichen Gästen wie Riton, Renegade Soundwave, Funkstörung, DJ Koze, Four Tet und Richard Dorfmeister. Seit 8 Jahren hostet er seine eigene Clubnacht "Suburban Beats" und den "Private Dancer" mit Gästen wie Joakim (Tigersushi), Patrick Pulsinger, Munk (Gomma), Ivan Smagghe (Black Strobe), Optimo Espacio, Headman/ Manhead (Output) Silvercity Bob aka Seelenluft, Rob B (Stereo Mc's), Brennan Green (Modal/USA), Henrik Schwarz, ...Wenn er nicht gerade hinter den Plattentellern zu finden ist, arbeitet er für das Wiener Label Klein Records, das seit Mitte der 90er Jahre zu den interessantesten Plattformen österreichischen Musikschaffens abseits des Mainstreams zählt. sonstiges	Was fällt einem ein, wenn man an Belgien denkt? Brüssel, belgische Pommes und zart schmelzende Schokolade. Ja, und wenn man an elektronische Musik aus Belgien denkt, dann fällt einem zu aller erst Marco Bailey ein. Mit einem so vielseitigen, wie umfangreichen Output gehört Marco Bailey zweifelsfrei zu den absoluten Topplayern in der internationalen DJ-Garde. Daneben machte er sich einen Namen mit seinem Label MB Electronics, gerade wenn es um knochentrockenen Techno geht. Doch er weißt mittlerweile viele Facetten auf, was sein Album „Rude Boy“ (Release 2004) und das Label MB Selections beweisen. Auch die britische Technoinstitution Carl Cox streckte seine Finger nach dem Belgier aus und signte ihn für Intec Records, wo die "Play It Back EP" den damals noch dünnen Backkatalog bereicherte und maßgeblich zum exzellenten Ruf des Labels beitrug. Mit seiner über 15 jährigen DJ-Erfahrung kommt er bestimmt mit hochwertigem, neuem Futter für die Plattenteller in den Club The Garden und krönt das Ganze mit Bailey’scher Heftigkeit.

sonstiges	Es war ein nebliger Freitagabend an der Southeast-Front, ein kalter Herbstabend, sogar der Alz-River schien heute Abend langsamer Richtung Norden zu fließen als sonst. Es war ruhig. Zu ruhig! Runterpitcher sah noch einmal kurz hinüber zu Henzemöller, der sich gerade eine Fluppe ansteckte, und sagte "Das gefällt mir nicht! Irgendetwas geht hier vor...". Henzemöller murmelte nur in seinen Dreitagebart "Was soll`s, Du findest eh keinen Parkplatz!". Noch bevor Henzemöller seinen Helm wieder zurechtrücken konnte geschah es. Vollkommen überraschend, quasi aus dem Nichts eröffneten Marco Prolo und Kai Pinkel, die sich auf der anderen Flußseite schon seit Stunden in einem minimalem Schützengraben verschanzt hatten das Feuer. Erst ein Plattenteller, dann zwei. Nur kurz später kam ein Dritter und Vierter hinzu! Was war passiert? Warum ausgerechnet jetzt? Runterpitcher und Henzemöller hatten keine Antwort. Doch aufgrund ihrer umfangreichen Auslandserfahrung, sie hatten ja beide schon von Japan bis Brasilien an den härtesten Fronten für die Erhaltung des klasssischen Techno gekämpft, entschieden Sie sich diese neue Herausforderung anzunehmen, zu der sie nach zahlreichen gemeinsamen Studiosessions verschlagen wurden. Mit einem Funkeln in den Augen sah Henzemöller zu Runterpitcher herrüber und sagte nur verwegen "Na gut, sie haben es so gewollt, laß uns den Jungs erst mal eine ordentliche Portion 909 ins Gesicht blasen..." "Gute Idee" entgegnete Runterpitcher, "Die werden den Berg nie kriegen!". Fortsetzung am 10.11.2006 ab 22 Uhr im Bergwerk, Altenmarkt this event is supported by eme germany
