Über die Doku TSOB hatten wir es hier http://www.tanith.org/?p=4859 http://www.tanith.org/?p=6007 und bei der Deutschland Premiere hatte ich ja die Ehre bei dazu gehörigen Podiumsdiskussion mitzuzwirken. Nun tut es mir zwar Leid für alle die teuer die DVD erstanden haben, andererseits, Information wants to be free und so freue ich mich das dieses Zeitdokument über New Beat, eine wichtige Epoche im Werdegang zu Techno, für alle verfügbar ist. At the end of the 80s, Belgium was taken by surprise by the New Beat, a once immensely popular, almost surreal type of dance music. Its unexpected but short lived success didn’t only leave a mark on a new generation of musicians in Belgium in the years to come; its eclectic mix of sounds and styles actually had its seeds in earlier decades.
