A few friends, 10.000 partypeople, One Man. With this slogan, promotor UDC, known for Dance Valley Festival, Impulz, HQ, Concept and 4 Elements, proudly presents “Carl Cox & Friends.”.

For the first time in the history of Dutch dance music, the UK techno and techhouse Dj Carl Cox will perform a 6 hour set alongside a few of his best Dj friends on 3rd April, in Ahoy’ Rotterdam.

Entertainer Carl Cox is undoubtedly amongst the most famous and most respected Djs in the world. His fame is not only because of his appearance and productions, but also because of his charisma behind the decks, and his legendary technique.

Three-deck mixing is a ‘Carl Invention’, and his sets in Sidney and Hawaii, where he entered the millenium twice, left a huge impression on the world. This year in April Carl takes it a little bit further… After Tiesto in Concert at the Gelredome Stadium, Holland is ready for Carl!! When athletes all over the world start with their 42 km marathon in Rotterdam, Carl will be closing off his own dance marathon! This one of a kind set will start at 1am, after an amazing show of musical talent by friends Carl personally invited.

On the question why Carl chose this concept, he replied:
‘There is nothing better than sharing good music with friends. When we decided to do this event, I really wanted to make it something personal, and also share it with my friends. What you will experience on this evening is something never done before. The show has been designed from the bottom up, costs have been thrown out of the window and the priorities - sound, production, lighting, and of course Music - have taken centre stage!’.

The show is built around the man himself, but inviting a few of his best Dj friends makes all the difference according to Carl. Back-2-Back sets, mixing with 6 decks and 4 cd players, final scratch and other cutting edge Dj tools, will make this event one the fans will never forget!

On the 4th February the names of ‘the Friends’ will be made public by Carl himself at a press conference to be held in the Westin Hotel, Rotterdam, at 15.00 hrs. One friend however will remain a secret, but it will be one of the artists Carl co-produced a track with on his new album. Later in February the name of this mystery guest will be revealed...
