Bio Mark Wilkinson:

Mark Wilkinson began DJing in 1990 at the infamous Shave Yer Tongue (Bracknell) & Passion (Maidenhead), later that year he started work at Kensington’s Flying Records where he was quickly promoted to Assistant Manager and met his studio & Djing partner – Rocky – with whom he formed the Problem Kids.
Mark’s regular sets across the country for the likes of Back 2 Basics (Leeds) and Wobble (Birmingham) led to regular DJing appearances at The Ministry of Sound (London) and to a Problem Kids residency at the Ministry in 1996.

Problem Kids’ singles followed on Junior Boys Own and Jus Trax before a single on the critically acclaimed Paperecordings led to their smash first album – “Pump The Dirty Groove” – in 1999.
Mark’s reputation for quality house music spread and he and Rocky found themselves DJing all over the country and beyond!
On the production front more singles for Paperecordings followed plus remixing for the Black Science Orchestra, The Absolute & The Aloof as well as producing the original mixes of Afro Medusa’s Latin carnival chart hit “Pasilda”.
The Problem Kids unleashed their second album. My First Acid House, on Paper Recordings to universal acclaim. It's a fantastic record with the title track released as a single.
My First Acid House, S'alright featuring Steve Edwards *, Dance To A Different Drum, No Days Off, Take A Small Break, Mardi Gras (featuring Ashley Beadle), Won't You Come Back *, Magic, Soul Food, It's Over (featuring Dee Ellington and Uschi Classen) (* CD Only)

Mark’s music has received support from Sasha, Lee Burridge, CJ Mackintosh, Norman Jay, Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine, Roger Sanchez, Sandy Rivera, Danny Tenaglia and X Press 2 to name but a few!

Mark continues his rise to the top and with a DJing and production diary that stretches well into next year, wherever you are you’ll find it hard to escape the sound of Mark Wilkinson the Problem Kid

Discography Mark Wilkinson:

Earlier in 2005 Mark Wilkinson’s latest production outfit ‘Dab Hands’ were signed exclusively to Ten/ Virgin records, their fantastic instrumental ‘Supergood’ was a Miami/ Ibiza anthem and came out soon after to critical acclaim, following on nicely from their ‘Lou Reed- Satellite of Love’ remix which smashed into the UK Top 10 the Summer of 2004.
The Full Vocal version of ‘Dab Hands- Supergood’ is released here, the vocal version features the fantastic voice of Tara Macdonald (who you will have heard on Axwell’s ‘Feel the Vibe’ earlier in 2005 and now on Armand Van Helden’s- My My My), and was written by the very talented Mr Tom Kent, who Mark and Dab Hands are looking forward to working with on many more Production projects in 2006, the story continues, watch this space!

2001 also saw the launch of a new production team for Mark – Kidstuff - aka Mark, Paul Jackson & Kevin Brooks - a year on and they are already a name on everyone’s lips! Kidstuff promo’ed their 1st release - “Alright” - in Miami 2001 and it was immediately picked up on by Danny Tenaglia who was the 1st to play the track at his infamous WMC party at Space. “Alright” went on to huge success on Defected’s sister label Fluential with support from Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Seb Fontaine, Roger Sanchez and Lottie, in fact it would’ve been easier to say who didn’t play the track! Kidstuff followed the success of “Alright” with “Jetfunk” a monster of a track which was again supported by Pete Tong.
