kurze vorstellung unserers special guest aus salzburg:


DJ Diaz

Bio:

It all began back in the year 2000. The early drum’n’bass sounds at the legendary “liquid-planet” parties in Salzburg inspired DJ Diaz and his passion for Djing was born. His playful combination of jungle and early free tekno created a new style based on variety. Playing sets on 4 turntables and being the main DJ of the experimental hardcore band “The Äth” demonstrated his progressive and advanced style.
DJ Diaz paved his sound-way with drum&bass, jungle, freetek, breakcore/mashup, detroitbass, bailefunk, and finally since 2005, with the upsetting and strong beats of dubstep. 2006 the Clubnight “Tubeklub” was founded with the intention to place new styles in Salzburg. As a party-promoter and DJ, he joined the “Stereofreezed Soundsystem” that synonymously stands for “free-party for free-people”. Today, “DJ Diaz” has become one of the main Austrian players, who’s openness toward new influences pushes the scene forward. DJ Diaz stands for musical progress, improvement, change and support of upcoming directions.

Simon/off

Bio:
Simon/off is a producer from Graz in Austria, who has been quietly making a name for himself doing deep, percussive, jazzy and breaksy influenced dubstep lately. (I.D. / Bassmusicblog)

After debuting with his Soon EP on Graz Houseverbot imprint in 2005, he has been constantly evolving his unique sound, heavily influenced by Broken Beats, Techno and IDM-ish sounds. Over the last years Simons music enjoyed support by artists like Dj Distance, Boomnoise, Bunzero, Rob Booth, Oli Marlow, Whistla and many more.

In 2010 his tunes could be found on labels like Haunted Audio, Echodub and Paradise Lost. The intricate and funky drum work of his productions brought him attention of Bristols well respected Immerse Records where he released an EP in Oct 2010.

His intoxicating live-shows and DJ-Sets have already fascinated audiences all across Europe. He played alongside Mary Anne Hobbs, King Midas and Rustie as well as UK Bass honchos Kode9, Ben UFO or Roska not to mention Plaid, Dj/Rupture and helluva lot more…and he still does – so make sure you see the man twist some knobs sometime.
